PWL SCHEDULING CHANGES
As you have seen (you did look at the May Events, didn't you?), the PWL has altered its schedule of cards starting this month. Every Monday night will be a major house show, each with its own catchy title. Beginning the second week of May, TV Tapings will take place every Wednesday and Friday (tapings for the first week have already taken place under the old system). In a nutshell, this is the schedule for the average week:
Monday nights: Big house show.
Wednesday nights: Major League Wrestling and Lucha Bombastica television tapings.
Friday nights: Bigtime Wrestling and Real Pro Wrestling television tapings.
PWL ANNIVERSARY UPCOMING, THUNDERCAT REMEMBERED
The next PWL supershow is set for Saturday, June 10: The PWL 22nd Anniversary Show. Among the events scheduled: defenses of all PWL championships; appearance from PWL stars, past and present; the first-ever PWL Hall of Fame ceremony; and a special tribute to wrestling great Thundercat, who died tragically in June 1995.
WHO DO YOU LOVE? WHO DO YOU LOVE?
The PWL Suits are mightily impressed with SCHOOLHOUSE ROCKY, BIG SID SMITH, and SUPER HEAVY. If there was such a thing as booking championship title changes, look for these three to be penciled into some soon.
Speaking of championships, keep an eye out for SETH and HUMAN TORNADO to receive shots in the tag ranks.
Just because they dropped the North American tag straps, don't write off RUFUS VAN PELT and BILLY JO JIVE. These two men are in line for shots at World tag gold in the near future.
Making a splash on the cruiserweight scene in the past week: SUPER ELASTIC. The former TV jobber has picked up some good exposure on PWL television, and the Suits have decided the time is right for a push of some repute. Super Elastic has pleaded with the PWL for quite awhile to give some of his friends, notably PLASTIC MAN and BABY PLAS, tryouts at BIG STEWIE's training facility. The Suits may finally listen to Mr. Elastic now.
The Suits want to do anything they can to keep NC-17, THE SEXECUTIONERS, and THE SHROYERS in the tag team title situation. While the Shroyers may be content for another run as NA champs, the first two tandems want nothing less than the World belts. With THE PILLARS OF PAIN only jobbing under fluke conditions, and RVP and BJJ stepping up, we'll have to do the old "wait 'n' see" if all parties involved can keep in the running.
GEEZ... (INSERT NAME HERE) SUCKS
For reasons known only to themselves, the PWL Suits have cooled considerably in their praises of a group at the Training Facility called AA. When prodded, Suit MIKE STEVENS only muttered something about "Terror's friends."
PWL NEWSPAGE NEWSBITES
Look for WAFFLE HOUSE to return shortly, taking spots on the TV shows, as well as handling duties in the PWL Offices.
Reached by carrier pigeon on his emu farm, JOE THE GIANT informs the PWL that he is very happy where he is and has no plans on returning full-time to wrestling. Don't rule out the occasional goodwill appearance, however.
THE TRAIN has stayed around the PWL, helping out the PWL Suits when needed, as well as making publicity stops for the PWL.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW, THANKS A HEAP FOR STOPPING BY PWL ONLINE!
