BROWNS GROUNDS COLLAPSES; NEXT TOUR POSSIBLY DELAYED

A sudden storm in St. Louis caused the PWL's home venue, Browns Grounds, to collapse Friday morning, destroying the locker rooms and storage facilities, and severly damaging the stands and ringside area. While the PWL will continue to run the IN YOUR HEAD tour without interruption, the next tour may be delayed as the PWL sorts out the internal problems caused by the Browns Grounds collapse.

Originally built for baseball, Browns Grounds served as the home of the St. Louis Browns ABL franchise until 1993. In previous years, it was also the home base for the old St. Louis Eagles of the NBL, the NPFL's St. Louis Panthers, and the National Soccer League's St. Louis Stars. Since the Browns moved to downtown St. Louis, Browns Grounds was home to the St. Louis Archies baseball club (coincidentally, the Archies were partly financed by current PWL World heavyweight champion THE TERROR). The PWL's inaugural Browns Grounds show was the first WRESTLERAMA in 1987, seeing THE AMERICAN BOY win the U.S. title from THE CHAMP, and GORGEOUS GREG successfully defend the World title against VICIOUS VIVIAN.
