I yawned and sat up in bed. The concert felt like a dream now, but I could still almost see Zac standing on the stage looking adoringly at me with his big brown eyes.
"Holly what's wrong?" Dawn asked streaching her arms up into the air. It was around noon and we had just woken up. "You have this weird possessed look on your face. Your thinking about a guy aren't you?"
"No," I answered quickly. "I'm just tired."
She looked me over. "No you're not, you're thinking about what happened at the concert yesterday." She squealed. She was more excited then me about what happened.
I changed the subject. "Let's go to breakfast now."
"Hey, where are you going?" Dave demanded.
"To the store, why?" I asked. I hated how demanding he got. He had to know what was happening all the time. It really pissed me off. Sometimes it made me wonder how Maya could stand the bastard.
"Just because..." Dave started.
"Could we come?" Maye asked cutting Dave off with a pleading look in her eyes
I shot a glance at Dave, but agreed.
We walked the rest of the way there in an uncomfortable silence. It was obvious that that Maya was mad at Dave for something.
Dawn was the one that dared to break the silence, "So what are we going to get at the store anyway?" she asked cautiously
"Well this might sound weird but, apples, approcotes, avacados, asperagus and alfalfa," I laughed.
We reached the store and seperated to find the food. Dawn and I went one way, Maya another, while Dave stood stubbornly outside the store.
"What's wrong with Maya?" I asked when she was out of hearing range. "She lookes all depressed."
"I don't know but I'm willing to bet Dave's got something to do with it, he's been all over her lately, hasn't he?"
I just nodded. It was hard to picture them upset with each other. They seem so perfect for each other, I thought. Except Maya is totally self-reliant and doesn't like it when people try to control her.
I pushed the thought out of my mind and resumed looking for the "perfect" avacado.
"Hi!" a cheerful voice came from behind me.
I turned around quickly. Whoever this is, he just scared the shit out of me! I looked up to see Zac's face smiling at me.
"Hello..." I was in a state of shock. As if! Zac Hanson talking to me??
"I saw you at the concert yesterday, it was you right? Mosh Girl?" He asked. He looked uncomfortable and was pacing.
"Yep, that was her! You can always count on Holly to do something stupid like that!" Dawn said smiling.
I blushed a million shades of red.
"So Mosh Girl's name is Holly?" Taylor smiled mysteriously. "It'll be eaiser saying "Holly" every two seconds then "Mosh Girl"."
Now it was Zac's turn to blush. "So," he said nervously looking at the ground "what are you buying?"
I laughed, my shyness drifting away and I repeated the shopping list, which was so stupid, I'd already memorized it.
He chuckled. "You making an 'A' salad?" What did I just say? Zac asked himself."A" salad? How much cornier can I get? That is definalty the stupidest thing I've ever said in my life.
