I do a lot of poster design and many of my designs are used on greeting cards.
I like to use words as well as visual images in my art.
For me it's a way to intensify the vision that I want to impress on the viewer.
I almost always hear words when I see an image for my art,
and so it is natural for me to incorporate them into the work.
Sometimes it is only for identification, as in the MISSOURI TREES series,
but often it is more poetic, to express a feeling or wish that goes with the picture,
as in CHILDTREE or WINTER MOON.
