Mahendran who directed successful movies such as"MULLUM MALARUM", "UTHIRIPPOOKKAL" and "METTY" is re-entering with the movie "SAASANAM" after being out of action for more than 7 long years.

Mahendran is making this movie for the N.F.D.C and he is being supported by big stars like Aravindswamy, Gowthami, Ranjitha, "THALAI VAASAL" Vijay and Balabarathi.

The hero Aravindswamy did not accept any payment for acting in this movie and some other stars worked for only a nominal payment.

This movie is expected to be another classic from Mahendran like previous once.
