I honor my people by being the best that I can be.
So many times on my travels, I find so many people who love
the American Indian culture.
I understand this deeply, because I love it to.
You follow the ways of my people, and this is good.
We should respect the Earth with our deepest beings.
See what you do to the waters,
See what you do to the land,
See what you do to each other.
Take care of the life and blessings you are given.
My mother taught me from the first day I came into this world,
Respect yourself, live your life as it is intended,
And I believe I have.
I respect what my mother has taught me,
And
by this I honor my people.
I hear so many times, how could I find my Indian name,
It is not your name that gives strength, it's your spirit,
I don't mind when I hear this, because I know what your looking for,
All the time it's right there with you,
That is the way of my people,
Follow your spirit and you will know your name.
So many times I hear, I am learning to be a Shaman,
When the answer is within you,
You don't have to go to a resort and learn these things,
Only American Indians can do this,
It is our way,
we live it everyday,
Here is the answer to your questions,
Medicine comes from within you,
And we all are connected with
each other,
And each of us are connected to Spirit.
That's all you need to know.
If you love my people, do not call these ceremonies,
Indian ceremonies and such,
because truly they are not...
These ceremonies are deeply embedded in the culture,
And no one really knows them,
Accept the American Indian's who live this life and practice it
everyday.
It is not a weekend tradition, it's a lifetime tradition.
I do respect you as a people, because you are my brothers and sisters.
Do the same and respect what we share with you.
My wish is for a day when all our paths lead to the same place,
And it will be a place filled with all the beauty that Great Spirit gifted us
with.
If only all the world would hear the words of Spirit,
And
look around you, we are here and we don't even know it.

The Path
The heart sees the light,
The mind still sees shadows,
The Path is long, and should be followed…
Many things come to be on this Path,
The mighty Hawke, makes his presents known,
He brings awareness and truth,
To the start of the Path….
To walk just a little further,
And stop to see two baby fox playing,
They bring cleverness, subtlety and discretion….
Now the Path goes on,
As you walk it slowly,
With a leap she comes into view,
A soft and beautiful Deer,
She brings to the Path,
Gentleness, Sensitivity and Peace….
The crow we see daily,
Do we think of him as anymore,
Then just a bird making a lot of noise,
Some may, the true believers,
For the Crow brings to the Path,
Council, wisdom and resourcefulness….
The horse is also on our Path,
They bring majestic beauty,
Freedom, power and safe movement….
The owl that prowls at night,
Here is a part of the Path,
He brings wisdom, vision and insight….
Squirrels all about,
They too contribute to our Path,
They bring trust and thrift….
Not always a friend,
But snakes are part of this Path,
They bring power and life source….
There are many animals,
That bring knowledge to our Path,
But not one can compare to the Wolf,
For she is her own being,
The wolf brings teaching skill,
Loyalty and interdependence…..
All will teach you something,
If you take the time to stop,
And hear when they speak,
Much can be learned from all…..
The Path of life is not,
A race to the finish,
But a Path to walk slowly,
And enjoy and learn……
Think about this the next time,
You rush through your day,
Have you learnt anything,
Good from your day?
Or did it just flutter away,
With no joy or happiness in it…..
