EACH DAY IS A LIFETIME...
LIFE AS IT SHOULD BE SEEN....WHY DON'T WE SEE?

Each morning before the sun comes to greet us into another beautiful day,
I open my eyes with the joy that I can see,
Instantly I am grateful for that gift.
I look around and take in a deep breath,
Just as happy as I am, I see my pet waging her tail and wishing me a good morning.
I am happy. I wake and sleepily slip onto the edge of my bed,
Not quite light out yet, But the sky is lighter then night time and I know it is morning,
It is the way I have always know my entire life to be,
I wash my face with cool water, and bring myself even more awake,
I open the back door and step onto the grass with my bare feet,
I feel Mother Earth beneath my feet, It feels good,
There is nothing like the smell of the morning,
So fresh, so clean, With my eyes, my own eyes,
I can see the orange amber sky turn bright and golden,

A brand new day, My mother always told me when I was a little girl,
Great Spirit gives us another day,
I sing in my own language the morning song,
I raise my hand up to the sky and say,
Thank you great spirit, for this chance to live another lifetime,

I was told as a child each day is a blessing,
And I know this to be true,
I should live each day as if it is a lifetime,
To it's fullest, So that when the day ends I am satisfied with what I had done that day,
Each being is apart of me, respect all that I am...

My mother taught me to achieve a lifetime to it's fullest is to enter the new day without regrets,
To end a day without regrets, and to do this I should treat each relation,
With respect and honor the lifetime by being the best of who I am,
And so I say good morning to the day,
And set off to achieve a lifetime with honor....

My mother always told me stories,
And I didn't even know I was learning,
With the sweet words that she spoke, it felt to me like a soft blanket warping around me,
Her skin on her hand soft like warm butter,
She would sit on the grass and I would put my head in her lap,
And she would laugh, because I would never hesitate to make myself comfortable,
Then she would tell me stories of the earth and our people,
She would tell me of my grandmother,
About the medicine she made with the trees,
She told stories so well that I could swear I was right there standing next to them,
I use to spin around in circles with my arms straight out to my sides,
I still do, I enjoyed the earth so much I got so caught up in the day,
It just seems so amazing to me,
I be aware of life, To feel the earth beneath my feet,
To lay on the grass and look up at the trees and sky,
Mother Earth's sound all around me,
If you listen close enough you could hear the songs in the wind,
And the tree speak to you,
I feel sad that there are those who walk right pass it,
And not take a moment to listen.
Before the cars pollute the air with the days hustle and bustle.
Sincerely, Lozen B. Bear

"YOU MUST SPEAK STRAIGHT SO THAT YOUR WORDS,
MAY GO AS SULIGHT INTO OUR HEARTS. SPEAK AMERICANS...
I WILL NOT LIE TO YOU; DO NOT LIE TO ME."

"EVERY SEED IS AWAKENED AND SO IS ALL ANIMAL LIFE.
IT IS THROUGH THIS MYTERIOUS POWER THAT WE TOO HAVE
OUR BEING AND WE THEREFORE YIELD TO OUR ANIMAL NEIGHBORS
THE SAME RIGHT AS OURSELVES, TO INHABIT THIS LAND."

GRANDFATHER GREAT SPIRIT
All over the world the faces of living ones are alike,
With tenderness, they have come up out of the ground,
Look upon your children that they may face the winds,
And walk the Good Red Road to the Day of Quiet,
Grandfather Great Spirit,
Fill us with the light,
Give us the strength to understand,
And the eyes to see,
Teach us to walk the soft Earth as relatives,
To all that Live...

Something I was told Many Years ago,
And have never forgotten...
IT MATTERS NOT WITH PATH YOU CHOOSE,
BUT HOW YOU WALK YOUR CHOSEN PATH....

We all try to choose the right Path,
But this does not always happen,
So we must walk it the best way we can...
