Chapter III
Revenge at last
Zouran's Eye's rolled across the landscape of the last place he ever thought he'd be. Not only had he never expected to see this place, he never dreamed it would be like it was. Hell was an amusement park? Sure the Gredinian's had had over a hundred views as to what hell would be like, most of which fit they're basic lifestyle, but never had Zouran herd one mention of hell being an amusement park!
His eye's got wider and wider as he tried to grasp the logic of what he was seeing. He could se almost every ride imaginable. Ferris wheel, roller coaster, even a macro spinner.
"We'd better hurry if your goanna catch that plane." Came a voice from behind him. Zouran spun around to see Orion hovering in the air just a few feet in front of him. His eye's cocked in a quizzical expression just a few seconds before he shrugged his shoulders. "Well if hell can be an amusement park, sure why can you fly.. I think I hit my head." He said as he made a futile check for serious bumps.
"You can't fly?" Orion asked. Zouran shook his head. Zouran looked at Orion for a second before looking up. "Nope... Never even though about it. Besides.. I'm afraid of heights. Did you jump just to come and get me?" Orion nodded as he landed just a foot away.
Zouran started to walk in the direction of the park. "Tell me. If hells an amusement park.. What's heaven like?" Orion shrugged.
"Beat's me. All I've heard is a lot of people complaining about paperwork." Orion said as he followed Zouran across the rocky plane.
"I don't get it. There's got to be a catch. There's no way hell can be that good." Zouran stated as he stopped near a fountain. "Well at least the fountain spews out blood. That's what the sign say's, but I'd bet my halo that that's just Kool-Aid." Orion nodded as he looked at his reflection in the pool. He couldn't help but wonder the same thing.
"Well I have heard that once you come down here, there's no way out. Maybe that was the catch that you were referring to." Zouran looked at Orion sternly before getting to his feet.
"So your saying that no matter what we do, there's no getting out of here?" Orion nodded. Zouran held his gaze for a few seconds before lifting his head to the yellow clouds above. "Orion, I died caged. There's no way in hell I'm spending the rest of eternity that way."

Kami looked to the stars as the night pressed on. The past few months had been a great toll for the old Namek. The last few day's especially. Up till now he had seen every threat come to earth from a mile away. Always he'd been given time to prepare. Then suddenly out of the blue came an extraordinary power. He'd thought that the capacities of Goku and the other's were the pinnacle of greatness. Oh how he'd been wrong. The universe itself was a mere ant in comparison, and yet, there was something familiar about it.
For as long as he'd been alive he'd felt something.. yet he could never put his finger on it. Could never even truly focus on it. Like a highway sign blurred by it's distance. For the longest time he'd managed to convince himself that it wasn't there. Now that was impossible. He'd been given a glimpse into the true kingdom of heaven. All he had to do now was find the stairs.
"You shouldn't trouble yourself with thought's such as these... This dimension if far from reaching such a goal." Kami swung around as the voice echoed thought the temple. There in the middle of the quad stood a man. He'd seen him before. He was the man who'd finally helped Goku defeat the unfathomable creature who mysteriously showed up a few day's before.
"However you might just be onto something the other's aren't. It's a pity you'll never realize the true scope of what you think you need to accomplish." Kami looked at the robed figure quizzically. "Never the less it has taken quite a while to find you. The other's told me of you but I never really believed that something could survive this far up. Perhaps that is why my magic has never been that strong. Puck always did say I had no imagination." Kami continued to stare at him. He couldn't help but be confused. Who was puck?
Finally the man let his eye's be seen from under his dark hood. "You know me." He said plainly. Kami just looked at him for a second before finally snaping back into reality. "Uh.. Yes Merlin right? Yes I know you... What bring's you to my humble home."
"Humble!? Hmph." The man snorted in a soft laugh. "It stand's litteraly in the air, contected to the tallest structure of the planet by a mere magical pole. It's built of only the most sturdy and strongest of component's. A special magical rift around it let's you see any point on the globe. What's so humble about it?" Merlin said in a mocking tone. Kami looked at him scornfully. Merlin seemed to notice this and let the hood of his robe down, revealing his face.
"I apologize. I'm used to being in a dimension where bluntness is appreciated if not admired. I came here searching for your help and instead I have insulted you." Merlin suddenly knelt down onto his right knee and bowed before him. "I beg your forgiveness." His voice was soft and full of sincerity, a liar's tone. Kami suspected that this magician had the power to destroy him and all other life in a blink if he so wished. What could he possibly want from him.

Tervin knelt behind a huge rock of ice near the entrance to the cavern he'd hollowed out. Baret had apparently wasted no time getting the complex built. Even now only four day's after he'd finish his work the complex was completely up and running. Where there was once a dark passage now stood a giant metal door. All around it Tervin could see gun turrets and shield arrays. When it came to protecting an investment Baret really didn't screw around.
Tervin scowled. He still couldn't believe that Baret had betrayed him so easily. He had looked up to Baret as a father. From the look of thing's, Baret didn't seem to really care about his betrayal. No matter. Tervin would take this stupid project and shove it down Baret's throat.
Without a hint of caution Tervin step away form his hiding place and walked towards the door. Immediately the turret's whizzed to life and aimed at him. "STOP YOU HAVE PRECISELY 1 SECOND TO TURN THE OTHER WAY!" An automated greeting shouted. Tervin stopped from a second, then took a big step forward. Instantly the gun's went of, sending enough firepower to knockout a small island.
The entire countryside was wiped to oblivion. slowly the smoke cleared. As the light began to break through, Tervin hovered in the air right where he was standing. He smiled up at the door, holding out his hand. "Pathetic." He said softly. Slowly his hand started o glow and vibrate. Suddenly a sharp beam of brilliant blue energy shot out of his palm and collided with the door. Tervin smiled as he walked through the rubble, and through the door.

A drop of sweat trickled down Baret's face as the alarms went off. He'd been watching the Saiyon for the past twenty four hours and hadn't been able to come up with much. For some reason the nanites were interfering with the cell analysis. Baret had decided to wait for the nanites to exit the system, but that was turning into a difficult task as well. Saiyon bodies were obviously more complex than Human. Now all of a sudden the alarms were going off.
Baret made his way to the com console an beeped the bridge. "What the hells going ON!?" Baret didn't have time to get and answer. Suddenly a fist punched it's way through the two foot thick steel door beside the console. Baret cursed as he tried to maneuver around tables and shelves. Suddenly he came into contact with a barrier and fell to the floor. Feeling his forehead he slowly looked up. "Tervin!"
* * * * *
Lord Obveron sat cross-legged in the middle of his room. His body slightly hovered in the air as he was surrounded by pockets of flowing energy. He hadn't had to meditate like this since he was a small boy. His continued stay in this dimension was drain almost all of his mana resources. He was now almost little more than an ordinary man.
Suddenly he felt a slight shudder as he fell to the ground. He cursed as he got to his feet and looked out the door. "What the hell?"
* * * * *
"Why father?" Tervin said in a stuttered voice. Slowly he inched closer and closer to his would be parent, forcing Baret to retreat farther. "Why did you try to kill me?" Tervin's skull vibrated as sweat trickled down. Baret didn't think he'd ever seen the boy like this. He was usually so calm and cautious. Did he really think that coming here would solve anything. the guard would chew through him like tin foil. Had the past few day's eaten at his mind so much?
Tervin suddenly smiled. He pointed out the door. Baret gradually looked out. He couldn't believe it. There just outside the doorway lay a warrior clad in royal blue armor. The mark of his elite guard. beside him lay another, and Baret could barely make out a foot peeing out of the other side.
"No one is coming to help you father." Tervin said in an evil tone. Baret had hear Tervin use that tone before. When they'd found a Saiyon stranded on a remote world in the eastern edge. Tervin killed that Saiyon with more ferocity than Baret believed possible. And now Baret faced that ferocity. "Now father. I send you to hell. You'll wait for me won't you?" Tervin said with a mixed amount of glee and sarcasm.
Just as Tervin began to attack he was suddenly knocked aside by what looked to Baret like a bolt of lightening. He was suddenly knocked onto his back several feet away. Tervin recovered quickly and got to his feet. Before him stood a massive bulk of a man. He wore armor almost regal in nature. Not the type of armor Tervin would expect someone to bring into battle. His skin was blue with an elegant tone. His long gray hair flowed down his back like a river. He looked at Tervin with a disrespectful glance. "Leave boy." He said. His voice was clear as a bell with an graceful tone.
Tervin grew enraged. He would not be denied his revenge. Not now, not ever. He shot out of the hole the blue man cast him in and shot strait towards him. He looked at the man as he swung with all of his might and rage. Suddenly the man seemed to disappear as his fist hit nothing but air. Tervin felt a blow to his back followed by another to his chin. He suddenly found himself doing summersaults back into the indenture that he'd previously occupied.
"See that wasn't so hard. Sinder just screwed around too much." Obveron stated as he walked over to Baret and helped him to his feet. "How's the Saiyon.?"
"Sa..yonnnn.!?" they heard come from the hole. Slowly Tervin emerged, his lip covered in blood.
"Boy, I grow tired of this!" Baret screamed. "You will never defeat Lord Obveron. He could destroy every creature on this planet in a second if he so wished. Don't be foolish."
"S..orry pops. I guess I just can't help myself." Tervin grunted. He smiled a second before the ground started to tremble. That tremble quickly grew to a full on earthquake. Even Obveron was having trouble keeping his balance as Baret fell to his ass again.
Baret looked at Tervin in awe as he saw his adoptive son engulfed in a wake of golden energy. At first he thought that one of the energy modules below had ruptured. It soon became apparent that wasn't the case. The energy became more and more translucent as it thinned out. He could see Tervin in the middle. But it didn't look like Tervin at all. He looked as though Obveron had never touched him. His hair shot out of his head in a pointed heap of gold. Never in a million years had he believed that it was possible. When living on the Saiyon home world he heard many rumors and legends of the super Saiyon. He just believed that was wishful thinking on the part of the Saiyon race. A pipe dream in the hope to one day defeat Frezza. Now he knew differently.
Obveron stood in complete stillness. Never had he believed such power could exist in a mortal. Whoever had seeded this dimension has a lot of explaining to do. Since when do mortals rate so high!? Or was he even mortal. From what he'd found the people in this dimension had achieved a virtual immortality. The lack of a mana stream proved it. He suddenly felt something he hadn't felt for a long time. Not since he' been cast out of Avalon... Fear. He quickly seized Baret by the shoulder.
Baret screamed as he felt himself being torn literally out of reality itself. He suddenly felt as though his enter body had burned away. He tried to gasp for breath but found none. He tried to look around and observe his surrounding's. His lack of a neck kept him for moving his gaze. All around him he saw nothing but purple energy and fire. Was he dead. Had Tervin really sent him to hell. The surroundings perplexed his consciousness. He was suddenly glad for his lack of a stomach. The mix and swirl of the surroundings would most surly have made him sick.

Vegita had been awake for a while now. Something in the tube must had jared loose giving him the ability to wake. At first his mind was a haze The last thing he remembered was being in his training facility at capsule corp. Now all of a sudden he was here in some strange lab. That mattered little to him though. Only one thought seemed to be clear in his mind... He could see! Not only that but whatever bright light had decide to grace him had also restored his tail that he'd lost so long ago in the battle with Kakarrot.
Slowly he opened his eye's. He was in tank of some sort. his mouth was covered by a breathing apparatus. His arms were held in metal binders to his sides as were his legs. He looked outward to the lab. All he could see was a few vials and tables. But he could feel. Yes his increased ability to feel everything around him hadn't left him completely yet. Suddenly he felt it. A power stronger than Kakarrot`s, yet matched his own in sheer ferocity and evil. For a second he thought that the monster from days earlier had returned to finish the job. But no. There was only one other person this could be, and it filled Vegita's heart with anticipation.

Tervin Shielded his eye's as he saw is former mentor vanish in a bright fusion of blue light and purple flames. In a split second they were gone. All that remained of them was the indented burn mark of where they stood. Tervin knelt down beside it and whipped a mark thought the ash with his index finger. He held the smudged digit in front of him. As he looked at hit he realized the full scope of what he'd done.
Baret had found him as a child. After the Saiyon's left, he summoned up all the strength left in him an tied to make his way to his mother's body. He awoke later in the arms of Baret. The old man carried him over twenty miles to the nearest place to heal. It was over five years until Tervin was strong enough to return. He remembered looking down at Skeletal remains of his mother. He remembered falling to his knees and crying, morning. He didn't move for two day's. It was then that he decided that he would not rest again till all Saiyon's were dead. Again Tervin could help but morn. He started to wonder if he really did come here to kill his former master.
Suddenly a loud explosion from the other side of the room echoed thought the complex. Tervin didn't so much as raise an eyebrow to protect himself. He slowly looked to the clearing smoke. There stood a man. A man Tervin recognized.
"Well Genesis.. Are you ready to finish what we started?" Tervin's head shot strait towards the pointy haired warrior. Genesis was the name on of the Saiyon's had called him when his mother was killed. In all the years since, no other Sayion had called him that. The man looked at him in a mocking expression, and suddenly Tervin knew who he was.
Tervin raised to his feet and put his fists to his sides. "Where's the big one?" Tervin asked. The Man cocked an eyebrow and started chuckling. "That stupid oaf? I killed him. He was weak." Tervin nodded. So this short Saiyon and the other was all that are left. Excellent.
Tervin looked through the Saiyon with fire and determination beaming from his eye's. His body unexpectedly burst in a bright aura of golden energy. Never in his life had had he been s focused as he was now. All his life he had been striving towards one goal. Now his long journey was reaching empathy.
Vegita looked at the golden super Saiyon in front of him. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't have dared challenge him. But than again, things were far from even and luck was on his side. Vegita drew in a mighty breath as he brought both palms together in front of him. His body exploded in a mass of light purple energy. A split second later a large beam shot out of his palms and went strait for Tervin.
Tervin held up his hands and blocked the onslaught. Under normal circumstances he would have folded under the blast easily. But the last few days had taught him much. His newfound power told him that much. He barely felt the heat of the explosion around him.
As the explosion subsided and the smoke clear Tervin looked around him to see that the explosion had taken out almost the entire complex. All that remained was scattered bits of debris and ruined bulkheads. One thign did not escape Tervin's attention. The Saiyon was gone.

The three warriors zoomed through the sky. Gohan shivered as he flew along. They had entered the Artic regions over three hours ago. According to the Dragon radar they should be close to the last dragon ball. Suddenly Goku stopped in mid air and landed atop a tall pillar of ice. Gohan and Krillan followed suit, landing right beside him.
"What's wrong dad?" Gohan asked quizzically. There was a little hint of irritation in his voice. Goku continued to stare of in the distance. Gohan looked at Krillan to find that he to was deeply focused at the same spot. Gohan to began to look to the northeast. Suddenly he felt it.
"Wow... Goku is that what I think it is?" Krillan asked. Goku nodded. "But... What's that smaller power?" Goku face scrunched up in concentration.
"Vegita."
"Vegita...! What's he doing all the way out here?" Krillan asked as large ball of white light suddenly shot up out of the distance. "What's that?" Goku's eye's grew narrow. He knew what it was. He'd seen it before.

Tervin's eye's surveyed the entire cavern in seconds. Finally he found where the Sayion escaped to. A small hole in the ceiling. Smiling, Tervin shot through the hole, coming out into the bitter wind. Shivering from the sudden change in temperature he landed just a few feet from the hole. Looking up he couldn't help but notice another sun. Suddenly he heard an evil laugh from behind him.
"He heh heh heh... now Genesis..." Tervin shot around to see the Sayion. He was growing taller! His eye's were completely white. Hair was starting to form around his entire body. "I will inish what I started!"
End of Chapter III
Auther's note
Well I guess it's safe to say that we are comign seriously close to the end of volume two. Like I've said before, It's alot shorter than the last. But one thing I've noticed is that with the chapter's being so short, it has taken me less time to write. So I ask you, those who read and enjoy this story, to write to me and tell me weather I should continue to go with the five page chapter's(This mean's that we'll see about two more chapter's) or do it like I did the last volume and make the final chapter almost twelve ot eleven pages.
