Chapter fifteen
Final Dawn
Orion stared own at his mothers charred body. He had almost finished restoring her. He felt tears swell up in his eye's as he gazed upon her pinkish skin. All that remained was the single spark of life that once existed there.
He had been trying for ten minutes to bring her back. He just couldn't seem to grasp it entirely. His mind would bend and move in the direction instinct told him. He could almost see it. As he would reach for it, the spark of life would dim and soon go out entirely. It was hopeless.
Orion took his mother's hand into his palm and held it close. This was the person he depended on for so long. The person he vowed would never meet harm. And in the end, he just wasn't there. He could do nothing but sit here now and wish for things that could never happen. "Oh mother... I'm so sorry." Orion whispered as he felt the anger start to billow.
"Cia?" Orion slowly looked up. If there were ever a sight that could brighten Orion's spirits, this was one of them. There sitting beside him was his sister. Still as cute and pixie-like as ever. She too bore the look of great tears. He took her into his arms and embraced her. They sat like that for god knows how long. Speaking to each other in that familiar language of unspoken words.

Goku stood at the northern side of the ruined courtyard. His hand throbbed like nothing he'd ever felt before. Even Frieza never made him hurt like this. He looked over towards where Vegita and the creature were fighting. Amazing. It seemed no matter what the creature did, Vegita was staying one step ahead of him.
Goku scanned the rest of the courtyard. He saw Yamcha, Tien, and Piccolo near one of the fallen buildings. They were huddled together in the shadows. Krillan and Gohan were over there trying to help them as pest they could. They had taken an even worse beating than he did.
Goku limped his way over there as silently as he could. He wished he could help Vegita, but he stood no chance against the hideous creature that had done all this. Goku frowned as he pondered how this was all going to end. Vegita's power wouldn't last forever.
As he approached the other's he noticed Piccolo had regenerated his leg, and was sitting up and watching the action. Yamcha and Tien still lay there, almost lifeless. Goku fumbled through his pockets and brought out a small brown leather bag. Kneeling beside Them he gave two beans to Krillan, motioning to Tien and Piccolo.
He bent over beside Yamcha, shaking him slightly. "C'mon Yamcha. Dinner time. You know how Chi-Chi gets when someone's late." Yamcha barley cracked a smile. He opened his eye's slightly, coming to rest on the senzu bean Goku held in his left palm. "Goku. You little saint." He said as he opened his mouth to accept the Senzu bean.
The bean did it's magic with out fail in seconds Yamcha was on his feet and as good as new. Piccolo and Tien also recovered in amazing time. Goku too scarfed one as he looked inside the pouch. He gave a small grunt as the bones in his hand snapped back into place. His hand was still covered in blood, but at least the bleeding was stopped. Two beans were left inside the pouch. Hopefully they wouldn't need them.

Orion stared dumbly at his mothers body. He and his sister had fallen immediately back into they're old pattern. Like they could almost read each others thoughts. His sister nodded beside him and stared at they're mother, Cerifine. Her skin was still pink and hairless like a newborn baby. She could hardly tell it was her at all.
Mia got up and walked over to the side adjacent to Orion. Together they stared intently at they're mother. The body began to emit and Eire glow. Slowly the glow erupted into a full glare. The body began to regenerate itself at a rapid rate. Orion and Mia grunted in stress as the body's glow faded and then vanished all together.
Orion panted from exhustion. Never had he used such energy. It wasn't all his. Mia had lent him the energy he needed. She was now holding herself up with her arms, seeming more out of breath than he was.
Orion turned his attention back to they're mother. They had succeeded in full regeneration her body, but still not a spark of life existed with in the lifeless husk. Orion fought back a tear as he came to grips with the fact that there was nothing he could do. Rage began to fill his every being. Slowly his consciousness began to fade in a complete vengeance of anger. One day Orion would understand this moment to be the very beginning of his decline to utter destruction.
Mia stared in awe at her brother. She had been overjoyed beyond belief when she first seen him. Then she'd seen what he was trying to do. He had been working so hard to bring they're mother back to life and yet he didn't seem to have the strength. She had lent his the strength the he needed to complete his task, even though she knew in her heart that in the end would all prove for not.
Now he sat across from her. His face a picture of anger and hate. She only felt sorrow and remorse for him until his pupils completely vanished from his eyes. Then his hair started to get lighter and lift as though gravity no longer held it within it's law. Now she was afraid. Not just because she had never seen this side of him before, but because of the mental link the both share she could understand and relate to those very feelings, it would only be a matter of time before she could no longer tell the difference between his feeling from her own.
"CIA!!!" She screamed. The instant he looked up his eyes returned to normal and his hair fell. She noticed however that it still looked lighter than it did before. Almost gray.
"We shouldn't just leave her hear." She said, her voice sounding almost pleading. Orion looked down at they're mother. For a second she thought he was going to lose it again. Then he nodded and looked up at her. "Your right. Let's not bury her here though." With that he scooped his mother into his arms and got to his feet. Mia walked along side him as they made they're way out of the courtyard, and then out of the town. That would be the last anyone would see of Orion' sister.
* * * * *
Vegita grunted as he just barley dodged Sinder's fist. The damned creature just kept getting faster and faster. Eventually Vegita would not be able to keep up.
They're fight had taken them well out of the town now. They hovered almost two hundred feet in the sky, the town a distant speck in the horizon. Vegita had decided the town was far too dangerous of a battle ground. He wanted this creature in the air away from objects that could steal his attention and possibly his life.
This high in the air all there was was himself and the limitless behemoth that tried again and again to hit him. Each time Vegita would sense it coming at the last second, and dodge. He given up all attempts to strike back. he would need all his power just to evade the creature. Eventually he would run out of energy, that or the creature would finally move faster than his senses could track. Vegita believed the latter would happen first.
He just barely dodged the last attack. Each time his mind would try to think of a new strategy he would be driven back again by another of Sinder's blows. "Damn" He thought to himself. Just what had he gotten himself into this time.
* * * * *
Goku helped Yamcha onto to his feet. He turned his head slightly. He could feel Vegita's power wavering. Vegita wasn't going to last much longer, and he still had no clue as to what could possibly be done to stop such an evil. His thoughts traveled to attempting a spirit bomb, but he soon dismissed it. Even one powered with the life of every living being in the universe couldn't stop such a creature.
Gohan tugged at his dads pant leg. "Hey dad.. where did Orion go?" Goku looked around to find Gohan was right. Orion was nowhere to be found. Orion was the only possibility Goku could think of. The difference between Orion's power and Sinder's was almost non existent. If any of them could possibly stand a chance it might be him.
"Where indeed?" Came a strong voice from behind them. Goku turned to see a tall, blue cloaked man standing just a few feet away. Goku's mind boggled as he realized that he didn't even feel him approach. Gohan stared wide-eyed at the mans cloak. It seemed to be made of something not of this world. It's material was like nothing Gohan had ever seen before.
The man was kept a hood over his head concealing his eye's. Long strands of greyish white hair ran from the sides of the hood and from the mans chin. Slowly the man brought a young hand up and slid the hood up and reviled his eyes. Immediately his hair fell back and over the back of his robe. His haunting blue eyes slowly surveyed the others, taking in every detail.
Goku stepped in front of the others. Who or whatever this person was he wasn't that powerful. At least not as far as he could tell. But the past couple of days had had far more than they're share of surprises, and if this new guy was just another waiting to happen, he would be ready.
The man's eye's fixed on Goku's. Goku felt a chill run up his spine as he gazed into the mans deep-blue iris's. Something about them reminded him of Orion. They literally seemed to glow without shedding one bit of light. Goku sensed far much more power hidden within them. He wasn't surprised by them having the same feel as Orion's presence.
* * * * *
Vegita winced in pain as the Sinder's fist came into contact with his midsection. Twice in the past ten minutes that had happened. Not bad considering how powerful his opponent was. Never the less, had he not sensed it coming at the last possible minisecond, that blow probably would have left him in two.
Vegita backed of form the creature trying to regain some ground. Sinder didn't give him the chance as he shot a glowing beam of white light strait towards him. Vegita narrowly escaped the blast coming out with a fried shoulder. Vegita grunted in his agony as he felt his flesh start to burn and pop.
How was this possible. Just how did this nightmare get this powerful. It deified all the laws of energy that he knew. The universe itself is said to have a fixed amount of power. Yet this creature had more than could have fit in a million such planes. Vegita turned his head up to Sinder. He could feel him smiling a wicked grin. "OH sorry. Did that hurt. Wanna beg for mercy now, rodent." Vegita's mind swarmed with anger, his rage bursting in a bright purple aura.
* * * * *
"Goku..." Goku turned towards Tien. "I guess a Surprise attack is probobly hopeless?" Goku shook his head in dismay.
"Sorry.... I just don't think I could ever make a Spirit bomb big enough to even come close to destroying such an evil." Goku's attention turned toward where the creature and Vegita were fighting. Vegita was getting angry, and in the process he was letting down his guard. It wouldn't be long now. Goku started to move when the cloaked man spoke up.
"What is a spirit bomb?" The man looked not one bit afraid of what might happen if the creature should turn it's attention back towards them. Like he had on a protective shield the creature could never penetrate. Goku smiled. He really respected such breviary. "It's and energy attack fueled with the energy from all living things. It can be a powerful attack but with this creatures power I don't think it will even make a dent."
The man brought his fingers up and stroked his beard. His hands moved upward towards a frightful bruise in his forehead. Goku couldn't help but wonder were he'd gotten such a nasty mark. Finally the man brought his hands around his staff and seemed to look strait into Goku's soul. "I am Merlin, Chief Mage of Avalon. Protector of the Southern Planes and Benefactor of the Twelve Gods. Make your Spirit bomb. True I too believe that it alone will not do any good, but perhaps with my help we can make it powerful enough to destroy an evil that has plagued the multiverse for eons on end."
Goku looked at the old man quizzically. Yet there was something about him that told Goku the he wasn't lying. Goku nodded and spread his arms. "The life of the planet should do." Were than man's last words before Goku started to concentrate.

Vegita rushed forward in a mad rush. He threw caution and reverice to the wind as he brought his fist up to strike. If he was going to die, he damn well was going to do it on his feet, not on his knees.
It seemed like everything was going in slow motion. Sinder smiled. Brought his hand up for what seemed like a block. Then at the last second Vegita felt the creatures hand form into a series of sharp talons. Vegita's scream of agony was cut short by a piercing feeling in his gut.
Vegita's mind went blank. The only thing he felt was the maddening pain screaming up his left arm, and the numb feeling coming from his midsection. Vegita's head bowed as he began to loose consciousness.
* * * * *
Orion stood by Mia's side beside the grave that they'd dug for they're mother. He could feel the tears trying to break through and gush out. No, he wouldn't cry. He'd shed enough tears already.
He looked over at Mia. She stood there, he arms crossed, her eye's closed. Orion could not decern a single bit of emotion from he face. He had to admit. She didn't seem the same as he'd remembered her. Like she'd become a whole different person and yet stayed the same. It wasn't like a drastic change. Just the way she seemed to looked at things. Her basic aura. The way she breathed. It was like all the Charisma had gone out of her.
"You've changed." Orion said after a few moments of unbearable silence. She looked at him for a second before turning away and taking a few steps. "So have you." Orion nodded. He couldn't deny that. He too ha notice the difference in his behavior. Especially since he arrived at this village. He doubted he never would be the same again.
"What happened to you. We really needed you. Where have you been all this time?" Mia. sobbed. Orion didn't need to see her tears to know that they were there. Orion opened his mouth to answer when he heard a familiar laugh behind him.
"Haaa. Where have you been!? What have you been doing?! He hehe heee. Who have you been doing?! Haha heh heh heee..." Orion turned around to face the creature. HE was shocked to see the sight in front of him. He'd felt warriors entire battle with the darkness. he himself was surprised that he had lasted as long as he did. what he hadn't felt were the final moments of the battle, when he was burying his mother and saying goodbye.
Now the warrior hug impaled on the creatures mutated forearm. his left arm severed from halfway down from the elbow. blood spilled from the corners of his mouth and around the creatures arm. Orion felt no pity for the warrior. He could sense not one shred of good or decency in his heart.
With a playful smile Sinder lowered his arm and threw the warrior towards the village remains. Orion looked at him with not a bit of concern. "What do you want?" Orion asked defiantly. Sinder continued smiling evilly as he pointed towards him. "You, little maggot. You are definite a piece of work." Orion stepped back towards his sister. She too seemed to look at the creature with a kind of defiance one would expect to see on a child looking at a disliked relative. Sinder floated down and sat on the gave marker that Orion had stuck in the ground to mark his mothers grave. Orion's brought his fist up and clinched his teeth.
Sinder not once lost eye contact with the boy. "Think about it. I could teach you things you never dreamed of. Show you wonders and nightmares that would drive FUNimation out of business. You have barely begun to grasp at your power boy. I now give you the chance to embrace it!" Sinder held out his palm for the boy.
Orion didn't even need a second to think it over. "NEVER! I'll never accept you as a mentor. You snake, you killed my mother. Why would you ever even think I would ever join you!" Orion blood was boiling.
Sinder withdrew his hand. "Don't forget your father.. opps. I guess I got him just before you were born. There's no way you could remember him. He heee." Sinder playfully laughed. Orion's eyes went wide open in shock. Slowly they turned downward and closed all together while he tried to hold his anger in check. He'd never come so close to losing it like had done in the village. He didn't want to come that close again.
Sinder laughed maniacally. He'd hadn't had a day like this since he sent Viridian to his grave. He looked downward and suddenly got a n Idea. "Hmmmm Let me guess. You finally gave up trying to bring you poor dead mother back so you buried her here. Aw gee all you had to do was ask." Sinder rose tow finders on his bloody hand.
The ground started to shake violently as the loosened soil around Cerifine's grave. Abruptly her body came out of the ground and hovered there. It was still as pink as ever with a dirty tinge from being placed in the dirt.
Orion looked up. He didn't know what was going on. Soon he would wonder just what had happened.
Sinder floated to just behind the body and a little over it. "Aw poor lidle lady.... Meyhap we could fix ya up a spell. he heh...." Sinder brought his arms to his side and slowly stretched them out. The air around him seemed to darken as he called upon the small mana the plane possessed. "Des mana cor geainter fe massa toeain!" Sinder said, his voice seeming so not like him and almost at a whisper. Cerfine's body began to glow a feint white. "Des mana nec geainter fe horsn toeain!" Sinder shouted. The body began to glow far more brightly now with a hint of white and black circling it like a cyclone.
Orion watched teary-eyed as the body started to regenerate far better and faster than he could ever had managed. He felt Mia's hand in his as they both watched as the hideous creature reanimated they're mother.
Finally Cerifine looked like her old self as long blonde hair grew from his head and other nonchalant places. Orion let out a tear and part of a sob as she opened her eye's. Sinder smiled in unparalleled glee. Orion held out his hand. "M... Mom.?" Cerifine too reached out to her son. "Cia...?" She softly whispered.
"Yes that's right for your viewing pleasure, the new improved, miss's.... Whats your name?" Sinder said as he brought up his taloned fist. "SIKE!" Sinder said as he brought his fist down and strait through Cerifine's body cutting through it like it was tin foil.
Orion's face was one of unparalleled shock. HE stayed like that for seconds that seemed like hours. Blood shoot out in all directions landing on both Orion and Mia. Mia held he hands to her face and screamed. Orion's face continued to be in shock.
"Damn parents. Just when you think they've come around they leave! How rude!" Sinder laughed clutching his stomach.
Orion's face went from a picture of shock to unequaled hate. The ground trembled as massive bolts of energy erupted from nowhere. "You... You........." Orion's body was quickly enveloped in a bright greyish aura.
Sinder hardly noticed as he continued to laugh about how hilarious his most recent prank was.
Large pieces of land lurched themselves from whatever kept them one with the planet. The slowly floated upwards into the sky. Orion's aura grew stronger and stronger as a whirlwind of bolts of every color of mana leapt out and came back in.
"You... You... BASTARD!" Orion screamed as he launched himself at Sinder. Orion's fist collided with the right side of Sinder's face. Sinder's mind went black as he could have sworn he heard he cheek break. The pain that came few seconds later told him he was right.
Orion didn't give him the chance to come back. Again and again he pounded his fists into Sinder's face. Just as Sinder brought his arms up to block at an unprecedented speed Orion claimed a blow to his midsection, sending Sinder flying up towards the air.
Sinder twirled in the Air as he saw Orion wasn't wasting time catching up. His face a complete vision of anger he waited for Orion to catch up before striking. Orion brought up his fist ready to aim for Sinder's back when the creature swung around slicing Orion's gut. Sinder smoothing brought both arms around and impaled Orion shoulders with his talons. Orion screamed in pain. Sinder didn't waste time to reflect. He brought his right talon out of Orion's shoulder and swiped it along the boys face, ripping it clean off. at the same time he threw the boy down like a piece of garbage.
Breathing heavily Sinder landed just a few feet from where the body lay. Why couldn't he have just left well enough alone. He knew the power the boy possessed. He knew that he could have just killed the boy at any time with barley any resistance, but no. He had to push it. Old Viridian always said he never knew when to quit.
Sinder fell to his knees. He hadn't been hurt like this since the fight with Viridian. His ribs ached and throbbed as he felt his face. Felt like his skull was damn near shattered. His mind was a haze as he got to his face.
All things considered he was lucky. The boy wasn't using just chi or mana, but a combination of both. Sinder grunted. That was exactly what that old hag had prophesied. A child of Avalon not born in Avalon, with all the powers of the universe would emerge and bring holy destruction upon the nine spheres and bring order to the chaos. That child would be of Viridian's blood. Sinder hadn't though the old slut had been telling the truth at the time. But now he couldn't help but wonder. Oh well, the child was dead now. Both he and Obveron could rest easy now. The thought hadn't but come out of his mind when he heard a sound from behind him.
* * * * *
"There.. It's finished." Goku said as he held out his palm. The spirit bomb form from his hand and emerged as a bright glowing sphere. IT hadn't taken Goku nearly as long as he'd thought to gather energy from the planet. Maybe because it was his second time doing it, or maybe because every life form on the planet could feel the evil emitting from here.
Goku hadn't lost his concentration once. Not even when Vegita came flying out of nowhere, and landed almost directly in the middle of the ruined square. Gohan had hurried to his with one of the last remaining two senzu beans. Probably just in time as Piccolo said he could hardly feel a spark of energy left in the once proud Saiyon.
Vegita had recovered quickly but was understandably pissed off about his arm. It was completely severed just below the elbow, leaving only a hideous stub.
"Yes, your right this is powerful. but alas it is nowhere near powerful enough. allow me." Merlin suggested. he brought his staff just in front of the sphere. His throat started to hum as the staff turned a mixture of blue, red, green, white, and black.
"Des mana cor hade rey toren nec fe deshn rey gortain, des mana cor geainrer fe rento!"
Merlin chanted. He continued to chant this over and over again. As he did the spirit bomb became engulfed in the same colors as the staff. Goku could feel the power being drain into the sphere. It was almost impossible to measure. Yet Goku realized that the sphere was getting smaller.
* * * * *
Sinder stared in total shock as Orion's body began to lift and the hover off the ground. "Impossible!" Sinder screamed as the body became drown in the colors of mana. Suddenly Orion's face regrew itself piece by piece. His wounds on his chest healed as did the slice wound in his gut.
Finally the aura silenced and Orion placed his feet on the ground. His eye's stayed closed for a few seconds before opening. Sinder looked at his in total disbelief. Even the twelve gods didn't have the power to regenerate from that sort of damage, let alone that quickly. Finally for the fist time that day Sinder wasn't enjoying himself.
Orion looked at Sinder evilly. Orion smiled at Sinder in a way that sent shivers down Sinder's spine. Orion said only one word before attacking. "Die." Orion disappeared in a blinding movement even Sinder couldn't follow. A second later he felt Orion's fist ramming his gut. Sinder coughed blood out of his mouth as he went flying back wards. Never had any one creature made him bleed.
Sinder didn't have time to ponder the validity of his thought. Orion was right there beside him as he flew. With a smooth swift kick he sent Sinder flying in a new direction, landing right in the middle of the square.
Sinder Got to his knees just before Orion landed behind him. With a fluid motion he brought his talon around and under, Impaling Orion in the heart. Orion Looked up at him and stared into his eye's. Regeneratable or not there was always one sure way to kill and immortal.
Just before Sinder rose his fist up to bring the killing blow he heard a familiar voice behind him. A voice he had not heard in over six millennia.
"It's ready! Now!" Sinder turned just in time to see Merlin and the Piss ant Saiyon from earlier. The Saiyon was holding a mana/chi powered sphere. No he had already thrown it and it was zooming right for him! What a jerk.
Sinder Ducked and brought his talon out of Orion's chest just in time. The bomb zoomed over his head. Orion Looked strait into the bomb as it collided with him. For a split second he felt nothing but serenity and peace. Like the whole world just became a little piece of heaven. The peace was abruptly replaced by shear agonizing pain. He screamed out in horror at the bomb seemed to be taking him apart piece by piece.
Sinder stared up in fascination. This bomb would have really hurt. Maybe to the point of having to retreat. How excellent. His mind suddenly understood. This was supposed to be they're last chance. One last once of will before they succumbed. And they just hit the boy with it! How wonderful!
Sinder surprised a sniker as he got t his feet. He put his palm forward to feel the heat radiating off the blast. The boy was still screaming. Amazing he hadn't expired yet. Sinder actually wonder weather it would even kill the boy. He felt the skin of his palm start to bubble and pop and abruptly brought it back.
* * * * *
"Ahhhhh NOOOOO!" Goku yelled as the scene played out in front of his eye's He looked over at the old man. His eye's looked lost and hopeless. "How? The spirit bomb can't hurt a person with no evil in they're heart!" Goku flustered as he fell to his knees. "What have I done?" The old man put his hand on Goku's shoulder. "It's not your fault. You didn't kn...." Merlin stopped midsentace and stared at Orion "Impossible."
Goku Shook his head and looked at Sinder, then at the others. "You guys go, there's no way we can beat him but maybe I can stall long enough for you all to get away.."
"No! Get close all of you..." Merlin's voice sounded almost on the verge of laughter.
* * * * *
Sinder face became quizzical as Orion Ceased his screaming. Was the little brat finally giving up and letting go. Orion's head bowed and swayed. Sinder took a step closer. Orion's head raised and looked back into Sinder's eye's "Die." Orion's said softly. Orion's screamed out in anger. "What the hell!" Sinder screamed as Orion's body disappeared in a bright flash of white blinding light.
For a second Sinder though he might have inadvertently jumped dimensions. Then came the pain. Searing tormenting pain. He screamed out as he felt his own muscles give way and his own body buckle under the power of Orion.
* * * * *
Merlin Barely completed the spell in time. Orion's body burst out in an indescribable blast. Within seconds the blast engulfed them and half the countryside for several miles. The last thing they saw was Sinder's body disappearing in a blast of purple on white flame. Merlin did his best to keep the spell up. The onslaught lasted for seven hours, without letting up once.
When at last the blast had fully subsided the landscape was completely bare. The ground looked as though it had been smoothed and polished in to a vast chasm of glass and marble. One thing was unmistakable, Orion and Sinder were nowhere to be seen.
Goku felt out with his mind. He couldn't feel the presence of either of them. IT seemed as though Whatever Orion did, it did it for good.
* * * * *
Mia had just barley escaped the blast. She lay beside the Lake that had just the day before been the battleground for Piccolo and Tervin. The small cave inside the lake caved in behind her as the ground was assaulted by go no's what. It didn't matter to her. All that mattered was what had happened this day. She got to witness he mother dieing twice, He brother come back form the dead just to abandon her when her mother was lost. His screams of anger continued to ring in her mind as she lay on the beach.
Suddenly the air in front of her seemed to shift. Suddenly a small figure seemed to phase in with reality. She recognized this person. It was the creature called Sinder.
The creature hair had gone back to a bright purple with his tattooed chest and face back to they're original black. He grabbed her by the face and lifted her into air. "The other one was stupid. How bout you?" With that they both disappeared in a bright flash of blue light and purple fire.
* * * * *
"What happened to you. We really needed you. Where have you been all this time?" These words continued to play out in the spirit's mind over and over. they looped around like a scratched record. Any thought of who, and where he was was lost in the yellow mist. It had no body. None that it could see anyway. It just continued floating upward through a heavy fog of thick yellow clouds.
Finally a name came to the spirit. Orion. No Cia. What was his name? Cia felt right, but Orion felt stronger, like it was what he was meant to be called. With this startling revelation came Memories. Memories of everything. Memories of his infancy. Of his first birthday. Of the day he was taken from his family. Of the day he met a boy Named Gohan. Of the minute his mother died. After that there was nothing. How did he get here? Were was here?
"What happened to you. We really needed you. Where have you been all this time?"
The words kept appearing in his mind. The last words he heard from his sister. In his sorrow the sprit didn't realized that sometime in his accent through the clouds his body had formed.
Suddenly the clouded gave way and he saw a reddish violet sky overhead. His body shoot out of the clouds and landed on a small platform. Ahead of him he saw a long line of bluish clouds all waiting to enter a large building at the end of the line. For as far As Orion Could see there was nothing but yellow clouds outlined by the violet sky.
"Now there's something you don't see everyday."
The end
Auther's note.
Well I'd just like to thank everyone who e-mailed me and gave me they're support while writting this story. As you can tell it dosen't end here. Far from it. I got at the very least four more volumes planned out. I just hope they write themselves the way this one did.
What an we hope to see in the next volume. Well I got several new characters planned out as well as a final battle with Tervin and Vegita. I'm not going to saw much about the volume after except you can expect it to take place in a completely different diminsion (Several actually).

Prologue.
"Zouran, Saiyon outcast. You stand before us accused of the crimes of your race. A race that has plagued the cosmos for far too long. True you did not commit these acts yourself, but as the whole of your race is now extinct You must take the responsibility of answering for they're crimes. How do you plead?" The judge asked. His head held high with a solemn expression on his flat face. His entire head was enormous, covered by a thick navy blue robe that covered the rest of his body. His robust paw-like hand swiveled around a small ornate gavel.
He stared down at the accused. Brought in a week ago for assaulting a group of police officers. He heard it had take almost an entire squad to bring him down and seventy one Cc's of Galim 29 to knock him out. Rumor's said that the accused was a renegade merchant just in town to sell his goods. A little skirmish between the police and the local gangs caused him to get into the fighting. He had been on the side of the police, but the police didn't see it that way. For some unknown reason the police had come under the conclusion that the accused was the gang leader.
Since it isn't every day a hoodlum takes down seventeen police officers in three seconds they ran a blood check on the boy. Imagine they're surprise when they found a Saiyon in they're midst. Not full Saiyon, but a Saiyon none the less. Almost instantly the old charges were forgotten and every man and woman on the planet was ready to lench the poor boy for his bloodline.
The judge felt sorry for the boy, and even sorrier that he'd been given the case. It wasn't the boys fault what he had in his blood. But society demanded that he pay for the crimes of his race. And pay he would. The judge wondered why the child was even being given a trial. In all likely hood the masses would lench him before the week was out. If they could.
The boy stared at the polished floor of the huge court room. His aqua green hair covering his eyes. He was on his knees, Bound down by the weighted bracers the guards had placed upon him. He said not a word. The only sound he made, being the slow inhale and exhale of a strained breath. The weighted breastplate was surly taking its toll on him.
"Did you not hear me boy?" The judge asked scornfully. Rightfully held or not, he didn't appreciate rudeness. The boy's eyes lingered towards the floor for a few seconds longer before glancing up at the judge. His powerful blue eye's startled the judge. It was forbidden to look up upon the high seat. Doing so was tabu for even the highest of rulers. Even the lowest of scum had never broken that rule.
"Would it really matter? You people have the vaguest conception of what justice is. You use it as a mockery to satisfy you own whims. I have neither the patience nor the inclination to even answer such a question. If your going to kill me, get it over with! Otherwise let me go and never see me again."
The Judge was dumbfounded. The boy actually stood up! Here he was wearing 100 times his own body weight and he just stood up like it was paper mesh. Not only that but he spoke to him in such a manner that death was the only possible sentence. He was hopping that if the boy cooperated he could just get by with a life sentence.
The judge looked down at him sternly. "I see. Since you refuse to give a plea it is assumed that you plead guilty. You shall remain in your cell till such time that I decide what to do with you." The judge hit his gavel on the rock brace near the corner of his seat. A ring of loud boo's came from the audience, Yelling out such things as "Kill him now!", "The Saiyon must die!". The judge shook his head and left his seat, Disappearing through the large door behind him.

The judge sat at his desk facing the window. Haven city's landscape stretched out for miles before him. The lights flickering a magnificent display of color, while hovering car speed around and zipped around the tall buildings, giving they're own part of harmony to the picture.
The judge paid no attention to his surroundings, his thoughts were only on the boy, Zouran. His words continued to play out in his mind. "You people have the vaguest conception of what justice is. You use it as a mockery to satisfy you own whims." He sighed as he took a sip of the cocktail he held in his hand. What bothered him most was that the boy was right. He'd known it since he first entered his tutorship. He'd hoped that one day he would be able to change all that. He'd learned the hard way that such things could never be changed. Not so long as greed and insanity ruled the so called democratic government.
"Your not still mopping about the Saiyon are you?" A smug voice called from behind him. The judge didn't bother to turn around. It was his one of his fellows Gentu. Gentu was a good enough man, but always thought with logic instead of his heart. Gentu had learned the system long before The judge, and how to maneuver around it.
The judge sighed as he took another sip from his drink. "The people have decided... However if the only knew..." The judge turned his floating chair and looked up at his comrade. "What do you mean...?" The judge asked quizzically. Gentu stared back with a face that literally spoke of secrets. "The boy's bloodline has been singled into three different races." Gentu spoke, his voice excited and stressed. "He's definitely half Saiyon, that much we can be sure. However he is carrying two other types of DNA."
The judge turned his glare to his glass. Did it really matter what else the boys blood carried. All that mattered to the public was that he was Saiyon. "Humph... Does this conversation have a point? We already knew he was only half Saiyon. What does a third matter?" The judge said as he held up his glass. With one swift motion he slugged the last of it's contents.
"He's one third Grendgen." Gentu said solemnly. The judge spat out his drink, drenching Gentu in a mixture of alcohol and spittle. His eye's looked up at his colleague wide and questioning. "Impossible...!" Gentu wiped his forehead dry and overlooked a small stack of papers in his hand. "According to the DNA test it is. The last DNA is unidentifiable. Possibly the blood of some race in the far reaches of the galaxy."
The judge shook his head in disbelief. If this was true, everything had changed.

Zouran sat crouched in his cell. A small space made up of only 18 cubic feet. The breast plate weighed him down as he stared down at the floor. his wrists clung to the floor, encased in gauntlets. The gauntlets were attached to the floor and walls by a thick chain of some metal Zouran didn't recognize. His breast plate was attached to the floor and ceiling in a similar manner. Zouran had to suppress a smile. It was almost flattering.
Just as he was about to crack a smile he launched into a fit of coughing. The breastplate clung tightly to his chest keeping him from getting the necessary air. In a desperate fit he looked up at the small door to his cell before his eyes rolled back and he slipped into unconsciousness.
He slept for ages. His mind giving him images of many things. The past, the present, and others he didn't recognize.. the future perhaps? He didn't know. He saw Deamon, the man who'd found him and taught him for three years. He saw his mother, Crouched dieing in what Deamon had called a Saiyon Spacepod. He saw Iffret. His best friend... at least he'd thought he was his best friend. It was because of him that he was in this mess. He saw Hogj, the bastard jailer who tormented him and bound him in the infernal breastplate. Other's he did not recognize. A small boy with long black hair. His basic aura was pleasing but his very presence made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. An elderly gentleman with a long flowing beard and draped in a blue robe. Another boy, just a little older than he, with hair that sung in several different colors. A princess like girl, eye's as blue and deep as the morning sky. Skin soft and perfect. A soul older than time. Zouran knew not what these images meant, nor did he care. All he knew when he woke up was that the breastplate was off.
* * * * *
His eye's shot open as the electric prod shocked his side. He grunted in defiance and glared at the wielder of the prod. It was Hogj, his smile came up to meet Zourans glare. Zouran tried to lunge for him, but he was either to weak or not as willing as he thought, because he moved hardly and inch. He looked down to see his wrists bound in an obscene manacle. His feet to were bound in a similar fashion.
A loud cheer came form around him. He looked up quickly to see himself surrounded in a sea of spectators. The were all looking at him with evil glares, shouting in mad fits that they themselves probably didn't understand. His eyes went farther out to see that they were inside. The walls were dark and solid. They were rock. He soon notice large pillars of torches lit in random intervals around what appeared to be a huge cavern.
So it was finally happening. They had brought him here to kill him. He looked around for the man who would play executioner. He could not see one person in the respectable close... in fact he could not see one man here who could easily be called a man of the law. Zourans face went blank. Were they lenching him. How long had he been out?
Finally a dark man stepped out of the crowd and onto the tall podium when Zouran kneeled. He looked into Zourans eye's for a few seconds before turning to the crowd. Zouran didn't think he'd see eye's filled with more evil and hate if he lived for a million years. One day he'd wish he'd been right.
The man held his hands up at the crowd. Zouran was surprised at how fast the shouting stopped and silence followed. "Fellow Grendgen's we are here today not for revenge, not for hate, but for justice." The crowd rang out in a massive roar. The man let this continue for a few seconds before raising a hand. Again immediate silence followed.
"This boy has in him the evil of a race that has spawned orphans all across the galaxy. We thought that the cancer they represent was wiped out forever by the gods. But it apparently was not to be. Now we will finish what they started, and purge this cancer from the universe once and for all!" The mans voice rang out in a loud echo. It was again followed by the massive roar of the crowd. Zouran found humor in wishing for a cave in.
HE looked up at the crowd till his eyes met a familiar pair in the front row. It was Iffret. His eye's stared back with a hate that struck Zourans heart. Zouran looked back pleafully. Iffret responded with a smile that mimicked his eye's. He brought his hand up and launched something at Zourans head. Two feet from Zourans head a ripe veritable sprayed across an energy shield. slowly it slid down to the floor and seeped into the metal grate.
Zouran looked quizzically around him. Finally he understood as the floor stared to hum. They were going to disintegrate him. Quick and painless. Well at least they were being human. Zouran though with a laugh.
The man stood to his side and looked down at him. "And now it end!" he shouted. The crowd responded with an even louder echo. The man looked behind Zouran and nodded. Instantly Zouran felt heat start to rise from the floor. He screamed and jumped to his feet as his palms began to burn. Perhaps they weren't going to be as merciful as he'd hoped.
"STOP!" Shouted an intelligent voice from the crowd. Zouran was amazed he'd heard it so well out of the roar. A tall lean man stepped onto the podium. "This is not permitted. The boy has been found innocent. You can't kill an innocent! This is not justice!" The man shouted into the face of the evil man. Zouran started to jump from foot to foot as his feet began to sear.
"He is a Saiyon. Have you forgotten what they were?" The evil man shouted back. The lean man merrily folded his arms. "The boy also is one of us... Would you so happily kill your own brother?" The man looked taken back. He stuttered as he tried to think of a response.
Zouran beat his mantled fists against the shield. "Excuse me, but while you guys work this out would you mind turning down the heat a little... I'm starting to get a rash." The evil man glare at him with hate and disgust. "We shall let the people decide." He turned to the crowd. "What shall it be. Let him live or die" The man glared at them gleefully. The vote was unanimous. The boy would die.
The man turned to Hogj, who stood behind a control panel. Hogj smiled as he turned the disintegration dial up. The Shield was lit up in a bright blue light. Zouran Screamed as his skin started to sear and burn. Zouran separated his wrists as the mantle that held them dissolved. His body began to glow in a bright purple light that barley shown through the shields blue. For a second he looked like his body was fighting back against the morbid power of the disintegrate. He threw a punch out that collided heavily with the shield. he was thrown back and tossed around the shield like a pinball. finally he landed in the middle of the shield. HE looked at Hogj, who stared back with a wicked grin. with one soft swoop he turned the dial on full blast. Zouran looked up at the blue lit cavern before everything went dark.
* * * * *
"NOOOoooooo!...." Gentu yelled as he saw the boy's body absorbed in the blue light. The crowd cheered on as he fell to his knees in anguish. The blue light faded and the shield blinked for second before shutting down. "Humph figures. Now that was one tough little @#$%&!" Hogj said as he looked down at the charred remains of the boy. Strange. nothing had ever survived an dissintigrator. every molecule was supposed to be destroyed, and yet the boys body remained. It only Reinforced Gentu's belief.
He looked up at the evil man. The man the called Gynu. "Don't you realize what you've done..." he asked solemnly. The man looked back in a mocking quizzical expression. "You've damned us all!"
End of prologue
Authors note
Well here we go again. I hope you enjoy this.. interesting twist in the story. Firsst of all I have to give thanks to my friend and cousin Double edge for creating Zouran. I hope you will like him as much as you all did Orion.
All I can say is I hope I can write this volume as well or even better than I did the last. this one should be signifficantly shorter than the last(Some might have noticed the prologe is only 5 pages). It is relly to tie up loose ends and get on with the real story.
Thanks for reading
