Ghatsi MUCK

- 8/9/2001: Got approval from Ghatsi Tribal Council to create a multiuser environment (MUCK) for tribal members only.
- 8/16/2001: Found a reasonable time for all tribespeople to have a tribal preliminary premeeting meeting concerning the future of the MUCK.
- 9/11/2001: Tribal council rescheduled meeting to next convenient time due to terrorist incident. Prayer and grieving.
- 10/01/2001: Took the issue of the MUCK up to the tribal council.
- 10/01/2001: Summarily rejected.
- 10/02/2001: Went around, petitioning for MUCK.
- 10/28/2001: Gathered 30 votes.
- 11/01/2001: Requested another meeting. Meeting was discussed with elders.
- 11/03/2001: Meeting denied.
- 11/05/2001: Decided to take matters up into our own hands, taking a collection through the tribe.
- 12/01/2001: Gathered 10 Wampum.
- 12/31/2001: Spent 10 Wampum on Christmas presents for individuals we collected Wampum from.
- 1/04/2002: Took up another collection.
- 1/10/2002: Gathered 10 Wampum from the same individuals we got it from before.
- 1/20/2002: Gathered 10 more Wampum.
- 2/1/2002: We now have gathered 50 Wampum, still 50 short of our intended goal.
- 2/10/2002: Gathered 20 Wampum from tribal Chieftain Sitting Sit.
- 2/20/2002: Gathered 30 Wampum. Our goal has been accomplished.
- 2/22/2002: Made calls and e-mails to providers of MUCKS.
- 3/1/2002: After days of calling and e-mails, we still haven't found a good provider, and the tribe is getting restless.
- 3/10/2002: Found a service provider, and duly sent out payment of Wampum.
- 4/8/2002: No word from service provider. E-mails are not replied to, nor are phone messages answered.
- 5/22/2002: Still no word from service provider. We intend to take legal action.
- 6/01/2002: Boy Scouts have arrived on our reservation. Our plans must be postponed until further notice.
- 8/20/2002: Took a collection to pay for the hiring of a lawyer from the city.
