"Brought down to us from the heavens for only a short while,
now resting peacefully in the arms of our father for a life time"
Poetry

Heaven’s Gift

God once gave me a gift
A precious baby boy, to call my own
Hair of blonde, Eyes of blue
A smile so sweet, it would melt your heart
This baby came with so much pain
Then on a beautiful spring day
two angels came, to take my baby boy home
As we held you in our arms, singing Jesus loves me
You went to heaven
Grandpa Charlie on your right,
Grandpa Tom on the left
For I will not be saddened, my days will go on
my nights will be lonely
But as I look to the heaven’s at night
I know someday, I will be with you
For now sweet baby, run with the angels
And do all the wonderful things
you could not do here on earth
and know when my time comes to come home
I will hold you in my arms again

His Memory

As I sit alone in your room
After you have gone
So far from me, so far from my arms
I stand at your crib
I run my fingers across where your head
Once rested at night to sleep

Never again will I say goodnight
Never again will I say I love you
Never again will I be able to hold you

As I sit alone in your room
After you have gone
So far from me, so far from my arms
I hold your little blankie in my hand
I run my fingers across the teddy bear
That was bigger than you

Never again will I say goodnight
Never again will I say I love you
Never again will I be able to hold you

As I sit alone in your room
After you have gone
So far from me, so far from my arms
I hold your first outfit so close to my heart
That once kept you warm

Never again will I say goodnight
Never again will I say I love you
Never again will I be able to hold you

As I stand at your grave side
After you have gone
So far from me, so far from my arms
I shed a tear, a tear that is the beginning of many
I will never again
Say goodnight
Say I love you
Or ever be able to hold you

You Tried
You stood at my child's side
You wiped away a tear that he shed
You gave him life that I could not give
You worked your magic
So that maybe I could spend another
Minute with him

I know in your own way
You will grieve his loss
But please remember you tried

You spent your ever energy
Trying to save him, but he died
But still I know you tried

I saw you shed a tear with me
When you told me he had died
Thank you I say, Thank you
Thank you for not hiding your pain
Thank your for not letting my child's
Life be in vain
Thank you because you tried

You gave me hope
A hope to go on
To spread his name from sea to sea
To let others know, there is hope
You gave me hope
A hope to find a cure
Thank you, Thank you I say

Little Blue Box

Up high on a shelf
Sits my dreams and hopes
A little blue box
With a little blue ribbon
I open one side, then carefully
Open the other
Inside my little blue box
Is bitter sweet memories
Of perfect little dreams
I shall forever hold dear
A whisp of light baby’s blonde hair
A copy of little footprints
That tap ever so slightly in my dreams
A little golden binkie so fit for a king
Carefully I close my
Little blue box
Back up on a shelf until the
Next time I see the little boy
Crying out in my dreams
