Chapter 6- The Millenium Eagle

Lando couldn’t believe it… it was finally done! A complete copy of the Millenium Falcon in every way other than completely reversed, the Millenium Eagle was Lando’s new ship.
“Beautiful! Just beautiful!” Lando spoke to the Wookie named Robacca. She was about a foot shorter than Chewie was and had a lighter brown color to her hair. She used a Repeater Rifle instead of a Bowcaster, but she used a miniature version of the Imperial Repeater Rifle. She was actually stronger than Chewbacca even though she didn’t look it.
Robacca barked and climbed up the walkway. Lando followed and took the pilot’s seat. “I’m sure glad I found you, Robacca. Han really needs some help.”
Lando was about to take off when Han and Leia’s private ship, the Rebel’s Savior, landed. Leia came running out shouting for Lando.
“Leia! What’s wrong?”
“Han is missing. We have no idea where he went. We need you to help us find him.”
Lando sighed and shook his head. “I should have known…”

The Millenium Falcon came out of hyperspace not far from Kessel. Han had woken up an hour before he arrived to make a few last minute checks on the Falcon. He located where the crates were and landed a few hundred meters away. He drove his crate lifter and loaded all of the crates onto the Falcon. As he was about to leave, he detected another freighter coming into the system. “Millenium Falcon to Corellian freighter. Please identify.”
Lando’s familiar voice broke through. “Han! It’s Lando! This is the Millenium Eagle. Leia sent me to look for you.”
Robacca barked in the background.
“Lando? Was that… no, no, he’s been dead for…”
Lando chuckled. “No. This is Robacca. I thought you might like a new co-pilot. She’s the best there has been since Chewie died.”
Han’s face flushed with anticipation and happiness. He smiled as he replied. “Hey, that’s great! Will you bring her down here?”
“Sure, old buddy. Get ready to see the Millenium Eagle.”

Leia was relieved when Lando returned and told her he found Han. She was also worried because he never told her about his debt with Despa the Hutt. He was too proud to ask for the money and too brave to not face Despa about it. She was also happy since Lando had dropped Robacca off with Han, who welcomed her with open arms. Leia had started back for Coruscant and sent Luke a message telling him Han was okay. She didn’t mention his debt, though, because Han didn’t want to involve Luke in his problems. Luke was always ready to help his sister and brother-in-law for any reason. Leia was always grateful, as was Han, but Han never liked to ask him for help or admit he was grateful.
Leia sighed as she came back into real space and landed in their private landing bay. She quickly took her things home and went to the Temple to watch Jaina train. Luke was about to go up on the turbolift when he saw Leia coming. “Leia! How are you?”
“Better. I came to watch Jaina.”
“Great! She’s in training room seven.”
“Thank you.” Leia hugged Luke and headed for the training area.

Han and Robacca took the crates to the designated drop point. When they arrived, they heard someone had paid off his debt and now Despa owed him money. Han grinned all the way back to the Falcon.
“I can’t believe it, Ro! I just wonder who it was that paid Despa off…” Robacca growled and shrugged.
