Serendipity

It's never too late

To awaken at night
Naked by moonlight
Shadows dancing on the wall
Bodies tangled in their flight
Ascending
Descending
But destined to fall

It's never too late
To tempt the hands of fate
With amorous raptures upon the door
Where the weakness wildly wait
Forgotten
Forgiven
As fingers explore

Turning the handle slow
Then pushing the portal once closed
Open like a chamber of chance
Beating softly as drum rhythms flow
Entering
Gliding
In graceful dance

Kisses soft on your shivering skin
Warm breath recaptures you then
As my hand brushes back your hair
Lips pressing wet on your neck again and again
Tenderly
Gently
Mutual passion to share

It's never too late

To join the myriad tears
The union of years
Drowning deep in Eros' abyss
Replenished whole left alone to appear
Rejoicing
Silent
Within love's fatal kiss

Fall farther from fantasy
Realize it is reality
Grazed by a golden arrow
From quiver of immortality
Flitting
Frolicking
Swift as a swooping sparrow

Il n'est jamais trop tard!

Tributes

...
"People say that what we're all seeking is a meaning for life. I don't think that's what we're really seeking. I think that what we're seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life's experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive..."
-Joseph Campbell
