Lovers stray
From sunlit paths
Beneath the shelter
Of painted oaks
As leaves drift down
Like confetti
And the breeze
Kisses an audience
Of covered branches
Trembling limbs
Where the wind
Passes over
Undressing them
With natural ease
Applause
