That Burning Question...

You want to know why, of all nearly 50 male WWF superstars (why do they call them all superstars, anyway? They're not all super...*LOL*) there are that I could make a nifty little fan club for...Why did I choose Crash Holly? Well, I'll get to that. First, if you will, a flashback...*cheesy sitcom-ish flasback music playing*

The date: August 16, 1999. The time: Sometime between 8 and 10:05 PM *LOL* The situation: Just me sitting in the living room, on the couch, watching Raw, as is my weekly ritual. I was prepared for a night of seeing The Rock and Chris Jericho and oh yeah, those other wrestlers too. :-) Little did I know I was going to see someone new that I was eventually going to admire! :-)

There I was, sitting there, having a good time watching Raw, and oh lookie, here comes Bob! Silly Bob, what funny thing was he gonna do now? Well, I figured I'd better just listen. Mmm-hmm...the WWF backed Bob into a corner and that's something he just doesn't like! Well, I would think not, I wouldn't like that either! Okay, so Bob says the WWF forced him to do it...do what? Oh, they forced him to get another superheavyweight! I'm thinking, "This oughta be good, this guy is gonna be huge or something!" But I was not using my logic! If I used logic, I would have known he would be small, because Bob calls himself a superheavyweight and is he big? Um, no. :-) Just keep that thought in your head...superheavyweight=small! :-) Anyway, so I wanted to see this guy!

So Bob makes his grand introduction and says "without further adieu"...hehe...I'm sorry, but hearing Bob Holly, Mr. Alabama Man, say "adieu" sounds pretty funny, trust me, I have it on tape. :-) So, here he comes! His cousin, Crash Holly! I'm thinking, "Oh no, not another Holly!!" But inside, yeah, I'm loving it, because I'm thinking he's gonna be like Bob and I like Bob! :-)

Bob's music hits (okay, so the guy doesn't get his own music, that's okay) and here he comes...and, wow, look at him, he's so short!! And such a...Mini-Bob!! He's like Hardcore Holly in compact size! It's cute, but I admit it, by this time I was laughing my ass off...Crash looked so silly! Here comes this little guy with this incredibly cocky look on his face and I do believe he said "Damn, I'm good!" or something to that effect when he was coming down the ramp. :-) So Crash comes into the ring and Bob is treating him like a baby...Crash steals the mic in a nifty maneuver, I must say! :-) And he talks all this crap and calls Bob "kid"...hahaha...does he have a death wish or what?!?

And ahh yes, it takes a very very short time for the Holly Cousins to become the Fightin' Holly Cousins! That was quick. :-) So they end up on top of the Summerslam semi, asking each other if they're okay after they hit each other. I'm thinking, "God, they're weird!" But at the end of the segment, yeah, I think I'm gonna like this Crash guy!

So the weeks go by...tick tock, tick tock go the hours (hehe...I love drama!)...Bob has his invitation only superheavyweight match thingie, whatever...*LOL* And Crash comes out to fight him, that was pretty funny...then they bring out that scale...that was funny! Crash gets a bloodbath and goes crazy on Bob...oh yeah, THAT is comedy, people! And the time goes on...and on...and on...(you get the idea, right?)

I can't pinpoint it exactly, I believe it was somewhere around the time they won the tag titles from my favorite tag team of all time, The Rock 'N' Sock Connection...around then, I realized that I was really really happy when he came out! And then I started wishing to see him...and then he had to come out on Smackdown that one day wearing actual civilian clothing! *LOL* He was so cute, I was hooked then, I know I was, because see, I don't get Smackdown, so I recorded Livewire so I could have that part on tape! :-) When I start taping recap shows for someone, I think that means I'm obsessed. :-)

So that leads us to present day...Almost a year ago, it used to only be when I saw The Rock that I would get all giddy, but look, it's spread to three people now that I feel that way about! (Okay, so I'm giddy about Chris Jericho too...hehe...) So now I sit there lobbying for Crash to get more air time, more mic time, whatever, I just need MORE Crash!! And hopefully some of you agree with me and we'll eventually get our wish. :-)

Now that you've read that novel, you'd like to go back home, no? Well, by all means, go ahead!
