Mary Endres entered St. Catherine's Convent, Racine, Wisconsin in 1879. On August 1, 1882 she was invested with the habit of the Dominican Order, taking her vows on August 15, 1883. Her years of teaching were spent in Wisconsin and Michigan schools. She took the name Sister M. Rapheal.
