ADOPT A PET

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to raise the funds necessary to obtain land in Butler County,
and build and maintain a humane facility to service the Ozark Foothills area.
We will operate under the guidelines of the Missouri Humane
Society and hope to help alleviate the pet population problem. We will screen
adoptable animals for more successful placement in homes and hope to be able
to provide training services for those who adopt dogs from our facility.

HOW TO JOIN
Simply contact us by e-mail or write to us at Ozark Foothills Humane Society,
P.O. Box 787, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902 and let us know you wish to join. We will
be happy to mail you an application. Once you have joined our organization,
you will be provided with a membership card and a list of local businesses
who offer discounts to members of the Humane Society.

Join us at our meetings on the third Tuesday of each month
at 6 p.m. in the Kneibert Clinic 3rd floor conference room, Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

ADOPT A PET
We are currently fostering animals in our own homes. If you are interested in
adopting a pet from us, you can view some of the many available on our
"Available for Adoption" page. We will ask to meet with you and discuss what
you are looking for in a pet. We will give you background on the animals we
have available and allow you to choose from among those compatible with your
lifestyle. We will also ask you to fill out a standard adoption contract
with us once you have chosen a pet.

Our hope is to help you successfully choose a pet,
because adoption of a pet is a commitment of up to 10 years or more.
