This was the basic box that I built. I didn't have access to a brake so I had to have my Uncle do it for me in sections and then I'd build it myself. It started out as the main "U" section and then I added the front and rear sections to it.

At this point, I fit the fuel cell into the box to figure out exactly where to cut the bottom of the box for the sump clearance. NHRA rules say that any part of the fuel cell that protrudes outside the trunkpan has to be covered. All I did was slice the existing metal and insert a wedge shaped insert. Viola!

Getting ready to run some beads on the wedge inserts and finishing up the beads around the corners. My buddy Darren came over a couple of days later and ground all of my welds down for me. Thanks Durwood! Too bad though... they were pretty kick arse welds!

Thats it! I installed the straps and have the fuel pumps (two Mallory 110s), inline filter, fuel level sender and vent check valve ready to go as soon as I can get back to work on the car.
