Dual exhaust has always been a bit of a problem on the Early A body Mopars. First, there was the problem of the stock 273 exhaust manifolds being so restrictive. Then, headers were always an expensive nightmare with either $500 Supercomps or Headmens (along with gaping holes) or ultra rare (but now in $800 production) Doug Thorley Headers. Once you got beyond that point (some have had sucess with stock 340 manifolds), there was the lack of a passenger side "cutout" for a dual exhaust pipe. The only option was to run the pipe extremely low which just didn't look right from the side.

Here is the shape of the cut that I made on both sides of the framerail...
...and here it is completed. Total time from start to finish was about 45-60 minutes.
In order to do the removeable crossmember to match, I made a template of the drivers side and adjusted for the slightly different hole pattern on the pass side. I'll post pictures of it as soon as I can. There is a version of this on my convertible, without the frame modification. See the pics below.
