Installed the Spitfires over the weekend. I had to do a little clearancing on the collector. It was rubbing against the 90 degree adaptor nut. Spoke with Harold about it and he's supposed to have fixed the problem. He offered to send me a new one but I chose to keep the set I have. Coated the headers with Eastwoods Hi Temp Stainless and installed them the next day. Found a rust and dent free, pass side fender from a guy out in CA for $120 including shipping for the 66. That was exciting!

I've decided to convert the dashboard on my 66 Dart to one from a 66 Cuda. I have always wanted round guages and think that it will give it a unique look with whiteface Mopar Performance or Autometer guages. Have already located one from a guy on Moparts.com. Thanks Josh!

Received my pass. side Spitfire header today. Unfortunately there was no collector ring with it so I won't be able to install it until it shows up.

It's been a while since I've updated this page. I finally received the drivers side Spitfire header for the 65 in mid October. It took a few small modifications but the header fit really well. Some grinding on the column shift lever and housing, as well as the steering coupler tabs was all that was needed on the car itself. One small dimple was required on one of the header tubes by the steering coupler, as well as drilling the end bolt holes out to 3/8" as I kept the header studs in the block. I also worked on my garage updating some of the systems and adding to it. I ran new 220 lines as well as a gas line, telephone and cable line. I also converted my compressor over to 220 so no more lights flickering when the compressor kicks in. I installed a Mr. Heater natural gas radiant heater to keep things nice and toasty during those cold winter mornings. Plans for an access door are already underway.

Cruized all day to a couple of swap meets. Something happened to the Gas guage... no longer works. Probably welded the wire to the frame :)
