I saved this little guy when he got caught in my garage one day this past August. I tried and tried to catch him to send him out the door, because they think they can escape by going up, he couldn't find the doorway. He finally collapsed from exhaustion, as I nearly did, and I picked him up and put him in my hanging geraniums away from where the cat could get him. I put a spoon of sugar water under his bill and even covered him with a geranium leaf so he'd stay cool, then ran to teach my paint class. When I came back he was gone. Happy ending to an exhausting morning. I will have more of these "little gems" in the future.
