Here I Am!

Here I am!
In the mist at the top of the world.
I'm bathed in the predawn light, my heart is free.
I look down at the fog swirling about my feet
I feel like I'm standing on the brink of everything!
A glance over my shoulder shows me the life I left behind.
And you with it
Here I am!
Just taking my first steps on a journey unknown.
Yet filled with promises.
Of excitement. Of happiness.
Of finding me again.
A journey I have chosen.
A path of MY making.
I will LIVE my life, and make up for the years I've lost.
I am alive again! I am free!
