I spent more than 33 years in law enforcement, including the U.S. Air Force, the Gilbert, Arizona Police Department, and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Phoenix, Arizona, the U.S. Customs Service and the Department of Homeland Security. In 2007, I retired after more than 20 years service as a criminal investigator and supervisory special agent with the U.S. Customs Service and the Department of Homeland Security.
