The words had always been there
Hidden deep inside her mind
But she had locked away her heart
In a place even she couldnt find.
Not knowing what was missing
What would at last make her feel whole,
Could mend her broken spirit,
Or fill the void in her soul.
She was drowning in her emptiness
Had quenched her inner fire
She'd lost her hopes and all her dreams,
And put aside her desire.
But someone had a greater plan
And did not accept her defeat
He set about to send the one
To make her feel complete.
A once in a lifetime person
To share her life and fate
The other half of herself
Her long lost, loving soul mate.
Someone so tender and caring
They could make her trust again,
To hold her heart so gently,
And call her Cherished Friend.
Someone who would understand,
And be a gentle guide,
To open up the words that she
Had locked up deep inside.
She opened like a flower
Waiting to blossom in loves light
Her spirit at last lifted
With wings she could take flight.
Finding all her dreams again,
At last living out her fate,
Realizing that her emptiness
Was her soul crying out for its mate.
Spanning across all space and time
At last the two did meet
And locked inside each other's arms,
One soul was now complete.
