WHICH HEART WORM PREVENTATIVE IS BEST FOR YOUR DOG?

If you live in an area that has mosquito's then your dog needs to be on heartworm preventative. Why? Because it only takes one bite with an infected mosquito to infect your dog. Untreated heartworms can lead to death.

Here are a list of the most common heartworm preventatives on the market. Listed below them are a complete list of what other parasites they help to prevent.

I do not recommend any specific heartworm treatment. I believe that you should discuss the possibilities with your vet and between you come up with which one would be best for your location. Yes, there are possible complications with any medication. This is another reason to have your vet help you make the decision.
