AJ stood in the corner of the room watching her. She was beautiful, with her red curly hair pulled on top of her head with a few tiny strands hanging around her face. Hardly any make up on her fair skinned face; he sighed heavily when she smiled and the way her emerald eyes lit up when she laughed just killed him.

When you walked in my world
I was someone else’s girl
Every time you look in my eyes
All I felt somehow dies
"I’m kind of nervous." Misty said to Nick as they walked hand in hand through the venue.
Nick smiled down at her. "Don’t be they don’t bite, hard at least."
Misty rolled her eyes and hit Nick lightly in the chest.
"It’s not that big of a deal you just meeting the other guys. Believe me they’ve heard lots about you."
"Great."
"You ready for this?" He asked grinning down at her.
She shook her head ‘yes’ as she sighed.
"Calm down. It’s not like you’re meeting my parents, you’ve already done that remember?" He said laughing.
Misty ignored his comment and followed him in the room.
Nick said hi to all the guys and whoever was with them. Misty just stood by the door out of the way waiting for her cue to smile and wave as Nick introduced her. She looked around the room while she stood there.
"Hi." A raspy voice behind her said scaring her.
She jumped a little as she turned around.
"Didn’t mean to scare you, I’m AJ." He said extending his hand.
Misty smiled when she looked into his beautiful brown eyes. "Misty." She said extending her hand and shook his.
"Misty." Nick said as he turned around looking at her.
Misty continued to shake AJ’s hand and she just couldn’t seem to tear her eyes away from his. They made her feel like they were the only two people in the room; everyone else seemed to just disappear.
"Misty." Nick said grabbing her arm pulling her his way a little.
"Yeah?" She asked snapping back into reality.
"These are the guys, Kevin, Brian…" Misty tuned out Nick’s voice when AJ’s hand brushed her arm as he walked past her and sat down in front of her. He smiled at her and she smiled back. Once again she couldn’t tear her eyes away from him.
AJ continued to watch her talking to the girls that surrounded her each fixing her hair or trying to touch up her make up. She caught AJ’s eye, he wasn’t supposed to be seen yet, but she smiled at him then walked into the bathroom to get dressed.

Don’t look at me with that smile
Don’t act like everything’s fine
Stop putting dreams in my head
When I should’ve thought of him instead
Misty knocked on his hotel room tears running down her face. She tried to wipe the tears away before he answered the door, but they kept coming down. Finally she threw her hand down in frustration and stood there.
AJ walked over to the door and slowly opened it. He smiled slightly when he saw Misty, before he could say anything she jumped in his arms hugging him tight. He hugged her back as his hand rubbed her back.
They separated after a few minutes and Misty went to sit down.
"You ok?" AJ asked as he sat down next to her.
Misty shrugged as she looked up at AJ.
"Another fight?" He asked his voice full of concern.
"Yeah." She said quietly.
"It’ll be ok. Nick’s an ass; he doesn’t realize what he has." He said smiling at her.
Misty stared at him smiling and truly believed things would be ok. She wondered what it would be like to be AJ’s girlfriend, and not Nick’s. Would AJ start fights with her? Would AJ yell at her over stupid petty things? Would AJ say he loved her then do something that totally contradicted what he said? All these things ran through Misty’s mind as she stared at AJ’s smile. His smile just did something to her; it made her forget about Nick. She shook her head trying to rid her brain of the thoughts that she was thinking. She looked at AJ and did the unthinkable; she leaned over and kissed him passionately. Shocked, AJ kissed her back deepening the kiss as he put his hand on the side of her face. Misty pulled back from the kiss, quickly got up and headed towards the door.
"I’m going to go." She said opening the door.
"What? Why?" AJ asked as he followed her to the door.
"Nick and I need to work this out." She said walking out the door.
Misty walked out of the bathroom all dressed up, all AJ could do was smile. But more than anything he wished it was going to be him watching her walk to him today. He wanted to have her. He always seemed to be so close to actually having her but yet so far away.

When you say the things you do
It makes me want to be with you
And every time he kisses me
You are always what I see
"You deserve better." AJ said breaking the silence that took over them.
She turned around to look at him.
He stared back at her. "You do. You deserve so much better. You could do so much better than him."
"I love him." She said staring back at him.
"You don’t sound so sure."
She wanted to say that she wasn’t so sure anymore. She was always so confused when it came to her and Nick. But it always seemed she got even more confused than before anytime AJ stepped into the picture.
"AJ I’m going to marry him. You’re like my best friend that is a guy. I want you to walk me down the aisle, since I don’t have a dad." Misty said looking anywhere but his eyes.
"Ok." He said quietly.
Misty smiled, and then walked over to hug him. "Thank you." She whispered then let go, smiled then kissed his cheek and walked out the door.
AJ sighed as he watched her car back out of his driveway. He mentally yelled at himself for not telling her how he felt. He was in love with her.
"So he agreed?" Nick asked Misty when she got home.
"Yes he did." She said smiling as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Nick smiled at her as he leaned down and kissed her passionately. Misty deepened the kiss as her fingers played in Nick’s hair. Nick groaned into her mouth when the phone rang.
"Don’t go anywhere." He said as he pulled away.
Misty opened her eyes and looked around the room. She quickly walked out of the room and ran upstairs. She flopped down on her bed staring at the ceiling. What was she getting herself into? Every time she kissed Nick she compared it to kissing AJ. She was so frustrated with herself. She loved Nick but she had feelings for AJ that just wouldn’t go away because he was always around, always saying the things Nick never did. She couldn’t fight the thoughts in the back of her mind wondering what it would be like to be with AJ.
Can’t you see what you’re doing to me
You make me forget about him
Can’t you see what you’re doing to me
"Hey you." Misty said as she walked up to AJ.
"You look amazing." AJ whispered as he looked at Misty in her dress.
She smiled at him. "Thanks."
"Nick’s a lucky guy."
Misty nodded in reply.
"You sure you want to do this?"
She looked at him and once again she felt like they were the only two people in the room. "Why wouldn’t I want to?" She asked searching his eyes.
"Misty they are starting." One of her bridesmaid said motioning for them to get ready.
Don’t look at me with that smile
Don’t act like everything’s fine
Stop putting dreams in my head
When I should’ve thought of him instead
AJ smiled at her and said, "It’s time beautiful."
"Why wouldn’t I want to do this, AJ?" She asked him slowly still searching his eyes for what she was looking for. She wanted him to say that he felt something for her that it wasn’t one sided. That she shouldn’t marry Nick thinking about him the way she has been, it wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair to any of them.
"No reason." AJ said simply smiling at her.
She frowned a little, and then looked forward at the other end of the church to see Nick standing there smiling at her. Her heart skipped a beat at the smile he was giving her, she smiled back at him as her and AJ began to walk down the aisle.
AJ watched Nick and Misty walk out of the church they were nothing but smiles. He looked at Misty and the way she was smiling at Nick, and his heart just dropped. At that point AJ knew that he would just have to let all his feelings go, Misty was completely out of reach now.
