2003 was a re-building year for the Norsemen. Stung by injuries to their pitching staff, the team limped to a 15-32 overall finish. The offense, however, staked its case for one of the most potent in the area. Led by Dave Emmons' .460 batting average, few pitching staffs could keep FV hitters in check. For the year, the team OBP was over .390! The highlight of the season was the team's strong showing in the Region tournament, where the Norsemen knocked off two higher-seeded opponents - including the tenth ranked team in the nation.
