Donnie Hillerman became the head coach at Flo Valley in the summer of 1998. His collegiate playing career was spent at East Central and later at Missouri Western. In addition to being the head baseball coach at Flo Valley, he is the hitting coach for the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier league. He has also had the rare opportunity to be an instructor at the Ripken baseball camps in Aberdeen, MD.
Over the past eight seasons, Coach Hillerman has resurrected a program that had only won 6 games the year before he took over. But since his arrival, the program has shown steady improvement, failing to win more games than the year prior only twice in his tenure. In fact, Flo Valley spent parts of both '04 and '05 in the national rankings. For all of these reasons, Coach Hillerman has earned a reputation as a tremendous teacher of the game.
