Blind Dates

Two fiesty female lawyers + one district attorney + one doctor = ?

Gia Campbell had just barely arrived in Port Charles when she stopped by to visit her old friend Alexis Davis. The two did some catching up - Gia found out about Alexis' life as a single mother, while Alexis learned the ins and outs of Gia's short time as an attorney in a New York firm. The talk turned to love, and Gia admitted that for now, she had given it up. She found that she had invested too much of herself in a relationship only to watch it fail. She couldn't do it again! Alexis pointed out that being alone wasn't much fine either. So Gia suggested that the two set each other up on blind dates!

At first Alexis was reluctant, but eventually gave in under Gia's teasing. She promised Alexis the man she found would not have tattoos or earrings but she would like it if the man Alexis' found did! The two agreed to go out to discuss business...and look for the perfect guys! They ended up at Luke's, where at first their conversation turned to business. Alexis offered Gia a spot in her practice with Justus Ward. Gia agreed and bargained that given a year to prove herself, she should become partner. Alexis agreed and then caught sight of Dr. Steven Webber. Excusing herself, Alexis went to speak with Steven. This was her man for Gia - minus the earrings and tattoos. She offered him a proposition - promising him something he would enjoy but he had to say yes right away. Meanwhile, Gia was approached by Devin Ross, a newcommer to Port Charles and a fellow lawyer. He was looking for Alexis Davis and she offered to talk with him while they waited for Alexis to come back to the table. He was interested in gaining some new clients and Gia quickly filled him in on Port Charles life.

Steven wasn't interested in agreeing to something he did not know. While looking away from Alexis, he caught sight of Gia. He asked Alexis who she was and whether Devin was her boyfriend - noting to himself that having a boyfriend has never stopped him before! Alexis told him that she was Gia Campbell and she was part of the proposition she was trying to get him to agree to. She wanted him to go out on a blind date with him. Steven waved it off - he would take care of it himself...it was hardly a blind date...the two had seen one another. Devin clued Gia in that she had someone watching her and she looked over at Steven. He was definately not the type she was used to but she had to admit he was cute none the less. Alexis returned and was introduced to Devin.

Gia got called away to help a client get out on bail. This gave Devin and Alexis a chance to get to know a little about the other. When she returned a little while later, Steven came over and introduced himself to Gia. They exchanged life stories and Gia found herself realizing that maybe she had misjudged Steven. He then asked her to go to Helena Cassadine's costume ball. She agreed. Before Alexis had a chance to gloat, Gia announced that she had also managed to find the perfect guy for Alexis' blind date when she was out. Alexis realized that Gia wasn't the only one who had a date that night and the two parted to get ready.

Gia's choice was none other than DA Ric Lansing. She had charmed him into agreeing although he has yet to fully understand why he agreed. He was in Luke's, not knowing his blind date was only feet away, when he was approached by a young woman. At first he couldn't place her but then she realized that she was Josephine Warner, his niece. Trevor Lansing also had a daughter. Josey had come to Port Charles, bringing with her bad news...her parents had been killed. Ric was stunned and he and Josey went back to his place to discuss how it happened. He hadn't talked to his sister in years and immediately began to feel guilty. After talking with his niece, it was decided that she would stay with him. He then told her about the costume ball and Josey decided to go as well.

Steven showed up to pick up Gia, and she was glad to have managed to take him aback with her harem girl costume. They arrived at the party and Steven automatically managed to get under Gia's skin by challenging her to a drinking contest. Soon the two were downing drinks left and right. Inbetween drinks, they danced, verbally sparring and challenging one another. But it was becoming apparent that the alcohol was beginning to take effect!

Both Ric and Alexis had chosen to wear costumes with a mask...so neither of them recognized one another when they came together for their blind date. Although each thought there was something so familar about the other, they couldn't quite put their finger on it. The two danced the night away and Ric felt intrigued by his mysterious date. They made the decision to unmask and then go for dinner. The masks came off...and both were surprised to find their fellow lawyer underneath. Even though their professional relationship was not good, the two decided to go ahead and have dinner together!

The drinking contest came to a hault when it became very apparent that Gia was intoxicated. She collapsed into Steven's arms, prompting him to take her outside for some fresh air. The two decided to leave and on the limo ride back, Gia talked him into making her some coffee back at his place. Things got heated and they shared their first kiss! Once at Steven's apartment, Gia taught him the "mysteries" of his coffee maker. He offered her a sweater to cover her costume and the two settled into some coffee talk. However, it quickly turned to the future...and kids, with each feeling like they were about to scare the other off.

Ric and Alexis chose to eat at the PC Grille. Talk to turned to family and Ric revealed his sister's recent death. He also expressed guilt over never closing the gap between them. Alexis comforted him, but also understood - when Stefan died they too had had a falling out but she had to believe that he died knowing she loved him. They also talked about the Alcazar family with Ric regretting every working for them.

Gia ended up spending the night on Steven's couch, despite his gentlemanly protests that she must sleep in his bed and he take the couch. The next morning the pair had a chance to bond over their mutual need for aspirin as a cure for their hangovers! Steven invited her to join him at the hospital for a coffee before he went to work. She agreed and on the elevator ride, the pair got stuck with Lorenzo Alcazar. He hurt himself and Steven went into doctor mode, while Gia sat back and admired his cool collective manner. She was freaking out...and he managed to calm her down. She felt herself falling harder! When they had a moment alone, she quickly jumped into his arms...but he got called away to assist Ema Madison.

After Steven did a shift at General Hospital, Gia showed up in a little black dress...topped off with a nurse's hat. She and Steven were finally going to spend some time together...just them. They went out to dinner and Steven was paged regarding Ema's condition. When he came back the two discussed how it was hard being a public servant because people assumed they were always on call - day or night. After a lovely meal, the two went back to Steven's apartment where things got passionate.
