The First Family of Crime

The Vargos family have moved to Port Charles...and everyone last one of them knows how to scheme, hurt and destory. Can Port Charles handle them?

When we first meet Carlos and Marisol Vargos and their son Javier, they are lounging in their penthouse hotel suite enjoying their first night in Port Charles. Originally from Mexico, the Vargos family has ties to Port Charles...specifically to Mac Scorpio. But that is not the only reason the family is in Port Charles. The city is the premiere location on the east coast and Carlos has decided he wants to take it from the likes of Lorenzo and Sonny. He will stop at nothing to make Port Charles his. And his wife Marisol is not one to stand idly by, waiting for her husband to complete his work. She is just as much a part of taking over Port Charles as Carlos is. Their son Javier has also travelled with them, although he grows bored of the new city quickly. Marisol discovered that their daughter, Katia also left Mexico even though she was meant to stay home. Carlos assured her that she would be safe.

Katia was in Port Charles, landing shortly after her parents left. She knew that she wasn't supposed to be there but she didn't care. She wasn't about to miss all the fun. She quickly found herself a hotspot - Metrocourt where she ran into Mallory Marshall and Javon Louis. She was surprised that Mallory would reveal so much about herself, but then again Katia had lived a life of always watching one's back for the enemy. She accepted Javon's invitation to go to a house party he and Kyle Radcliffe were throwing. It was obvious to Katia that Mallory wanted Javon so she decided to make things hard for the blonde. She used her best doe eyes to convince Javon to let her sit next to him in the car ride over, much to Mallory's disgust.

Javier quickly grew bored of his parents conversation. He decided to explore the city that would soon belong to his family. Walking through the part, he met Cleo Windsor, who was working on some sketches. The two struck up a conversation. At first things were pretty normal but then Cleo revealed her perchance for sunning nude and bad boys. Javier was a bit taken a back by the revelation but impressed with her honesty. After hearing about how stressed out she was, Javier told her to let loose and go to a club. She took his advice, but had to call the night short. Her fashion show was almost upon Port Charles.

Once at the party, Katia set about winning Javon's attention from Mallory. She decided to continue her Miss Innocence act, even telling Javon that she didn't know how to dance. She didn't quite get the reponse she had hoped for Javon decided to show her using Mallory as his "demonstration partner". Still she wasn't going to give up yet. Then Javon called her on her scheme - saying that she was Latin therefore she should know how to dance. Offended, she called him on his stereotype and then strode away. She met Maxie Jones, and decided that as the police comissioner's daughter, she would be a good "friend". That way, she could have access to anything the police may find on her family.

Meanwhile, Carlos, Javier, and Marisol all decided to go to the ReVamped fashion show. It was what the town was buzzing out so they decided it would be the perfect way to introduce themselves to the rest of the town. Once there, Javier grew bored again, and left his parents to find his own brand of fun. Carlos and Marisol dediced to check out the festivities, each hoping that someone like Sonny Corinthos would show up.

At the fashion show, Javier nearly died of boredom until he caught sight of Dorian Vega. He knew who she was right way - the daughter of the woman his father had been obsessed with. He hadn't expected her to be this breathtaking in person and couldn't keep his eyes off her. She approached him after the show was over and the chemistry was instanteous. The two made a quick exit to do some star gazing in the woods of Port Charles. Things turned passionate quickly and Dorian insisted that Javier understand she was by no means an easy girl...she just couldn't fit her attraction to him!

Katia was also discovering a little chemistry of her own. At the party she met Josh Jacks and was immediately attracted to them. The two went back to his apartment where Katia couldn't help but act on her feelings. It was obvious that despite their age difference he was attracted to her as well. Josh and Katia began to act on her feelings...then Katia revealed that she was a virgin! Josh vowed to make her first time memorable.

Katia returned home after her tryst with Josh. Her father immediately began to treat her like the little girl he still thought she was. He insisted that she sign up for some classes - even though it was summer! Katia was having none of it! She refused her father flat out and Carlos pleaded with Marisol to reason with their daughter. Amused, Marisol pointed out he was doing just fine on his own. She knew her daughter and taking classes was not on her list of things to do. Carlos realized he was fighting a losing battle so he gave up - and revealed he would buy his darling daughter her own wheels!
