The Law Fights Back

Port Charles as always been run by the mob...but what happens when the law decides to take matters into their own hand?

Reese Marshall is an FBI agent transfered to a branch near Port Charles. She has made her misson one to get rid of organized crime. While walking around Port Charles, Reese ran into John Durant, a federal prosecuter and Carly Corinthos' father. The two began to talk, realizing they both wanted the same thing. However, for John it wasn't so easy. His newfound daughter is heavily caught up in the mob, as she is married to Sonny Corinthos. He would love to take Sonny down but does not want to alienate his daughter. It's a tough decision. Reese agreed and pointed out that if she's anything like her father, Carly is going to be stubborn. The two then decided to form an alliance to take down the mob element in Port Charles.

Their first target was decided on: Lorenzo Alcazar. If they couldn't go after Sonny because of John's connection to him, then they would go after his competition. They started to formulate a plan, deciding that perhaps Lorenzo's niece Sage Alcazar was his weak point. They planned to talk to her in hopes that she would slip up and give away vital information. After they shook hands on it, the two went to Luke's to continue their meeting. They ran into William Windsor there. William is the adopted brother of Sonny's daughter Cleo, and he has a bone to pick with the Alcazar family. He explained his family's connection the Alcazars and pledged to do anything to help take them down. But he had one condition - leave Sonny out of this. He was Cleo's father and William knew that Cleo would be devastated if anything happened to him.

After William left, John and Reese talked about how each of them got involved in the law. Later Reese met with William in a warehouse to further discuss the case, and the two ended up getting snowed into together. They took the time to get to know one another. Reese admitted that she had never met a royal before. The two had their very own version of a ballroom dance without music. It ended in a kiss, and then the power came back on. William wanted to drive her home, she agreed. On the way, Reese got a phone call from her teenaged daughter Mallory. It seems that John Durant had arranged for her to come to Port Charles. Not pleased, Reese decided to wait to meet Mallory the next day. Back at her place, things became heated between her and William.

Mallory decided to pass the time before she saw her mother again by going to Metrocourt. There she ran into Javon Louis. They two struck up a conversation, only to be interupted by Katia Vargos, who had secretly come to Port Charles without her parent's permission. It was obvious from the first that Katia and Mallory were not going to get alone. Mallory explained why she was there - how John Durant was going to use her as leverage over her mother. Katia was more quiet on her past and instead focused her attention on Javon. Soon the two females were competing for Javon's attention. Katia got one over on Mallory when Javon offered them a ride - she had to sit up front next to him because she gets "car sickness". Malloy was not going to go down without a fight though.

Meanwhile, things between Reese and William were becoming very passionate. Things moved to the bedroom and the two came close to making love. But they were interupted by a pesky phone call from Durant. He wanted Reese's help to dig up dirt on Ric Lansing and help win him the DA race. Reese reluctantly agreed, something that William didn't like considering Durant would not doubt go after Cleo's father if he became DA. Reese asked him what choice she really had - John had brought Mallory to town and was dangling her safety over Reese's head. She had to protect her daughter. William understood and confessed that it was a case of love at first sight for him. Reese was surprised and she disappointed William when she couldn't say the words back. William left, and Reese realized that maybe it was a good thing the two hadn't made love...things were moving too fast.

Once at the party, Katia and Mallory moved in a battle of the vixens. Katia played innocent and Mallory followed suit. She was overjoyed when Javon pulled her into his arms to dance together. She grinded against him secretly gloating about her victory over Katia. The party was about to take a wild turn - Dakota Miller had gone off, passed out and woke up with a dead body lying next to her! She freaked out and all the teens gathered trying to figure out what to do. Mallory tried to take charge. She had picked up a few things from her FBI mother. She wanted to dispose of the body.

While Mallory dealt with a dead body, Reese was about to get the shock of her life. She was at home when she got a call from V Ardanowski, telling her to meet her at the Port Charles airport. She did just that was shocked to see Robert Scorpio carrying her young son, Jamie. He was alive! She was overjoyed but wanted to know what happened. V explained how the Vargos had faked his death and then intended to sell him into child slavery. Jamie woke up and was happily reunited with his mother.

Mallory came home from the party to find her mother was waiting for her. The two talked and eventually Reese managed to get the story out of her daughter. She was shocked to hear the truth. After she discovered the real story, Reese convinced her daughter to talk to the police. She needed to come clean before they found out and she was arrested for obstruction of justice. Mallory agreed and then was shocked to find her little brother still alive. Her family was coming back together!

After both her children were in bed, Reese got a call from William. They both apologized for their actions the other night and tried to make a go of it again. They talked and Reese revealed that her son was alive. Although they were briefly interuppted by John, it seemed like things were getting back on track. William invited her to their new house he and sister Cleo had recently bought. He explained how it had horses and hoped that little Jamie might enjoy it there. Reese quickly agreed.
