Tragic Beginnings

An accident changes the lives of these teens drastically...what will happen?

Trapped at the Quartermaine mansion during the storm, Dillon and Georgie decide to go outside and play in the snow for a short period of time. Once outside, Dillon cannot resist picking Georgie up and throwing them into a snow bank...what he didn't know was that he was about to change their lives...Georgie landed hard on a rock concealed by the snow. She immediately knew something was wrong and called for Dillon to help her. He carried her back into the Quartermaine mansion. She begged him to rub her legs...thinking the reason she couldn't feel them was because she was cold. He did and she was horrified to realize that she couldn't feel anything at all. Dillon quickly called an ambulance and the terrified teens waited for it to come.

Mac was at ReVamped with Dorian, the young woman who very well might be his daughter when he got a call from Dillon explaining that he and Georgie were at the hospital and that Georgie had been hurt. Mac left with Dorian deciding to accompany him. He quickly was at Georgie's bedside, wanting to comfort her. She told him all the details, including Dillon's part in it. Mac was not happy but before he could talk to Dillon the doctor returned and laid out the news to Georgie. She was paralyzed...and he wasn't sure whether or not it was for good. It was too soon to tell. Mac and Georgie were devastated. Georgie wanted to be alone and Mac agreed to her wishes.

Dillon knew that the news had to be bad. He also knew that he had played a major part in what had happened. He sat in the waiting room feeling alone and guilty. He decided he needed someone to talk to and decided to call his best friend, Lulu. At the moment she happened to be at Bobbie's after the family dinner that had revealed a lot of surprises. She immediately agreed to come and Dillon wasn't long confessing that the entire thing was his fault. Lulu tried to comfort him the best she could - assuring him that it was not his fault. Finally, she had managed to at least get him out of his rut. The two left the hospital after Dillon could take it no more and went for a walk in the park.

Meanwhile, Georgie wanted to be alone in her hospital room. She worried about how her relationship with Dillon was going to change now that she couldn't walk. She also thought that this was Dillon's fault. Suddenly, she was visited by Palmer Hellfax, the man who was volunteering at the hospital. He was there to cheer her up he announced. Helping her into the wheelchair, he took her for a spin around the hospital and the two got to know each other a little better.

Once in the park, Lulu outlined what had happened to her family since the last time she and Dillon talked. She told him about Talon and about her mother. Dillon was taken a back and told Lulu that he would help her any way he could. The two decided they needed to do something fun to take their mind off all the bad things that had been happening in their lives. They tried to go skating at the rink but spend more time on their butts then on the skates. They then moved to bowling, where despite Dillon trying to distract her, Lulu excelled.

Palmer continued to spend time with Georgie, trying to assure her that she would walk again. Georgie found that she liked having him around. Palmer offered to take Georgie out of the hospital and she readily agreed. However, her escaped was stopped by none other than her mother. Felicia wanted her daughter back in bed, and Georgie was less than willing to listen to the woman who she seemed abandoned her. Felicia was hurt and tried to reason with her daughter. Georgie was hurting as well. Dillon wasn't there like she thought he should be...but Felicia pointed out that Dillon was just doing what she wanted - leaving her alone!

Georgie was about to get the surprise of her life. Felicia ran into Frisco in the hospital. His car had broken down and he was calling for help when his ex wife ran across him. She assumed that he was there to see their daughter but Frisco didn't even know about Georgie's accident. Felicia exploded and the two got into a huge fight. In the end, Frisco went to visit his daughter. Georgie was happy to see him and the anger she showed towards her mother for her abscense seemed to be missing here. She hoped that her father would come back to visit more often.

Dillon was the next to visit Georgie. He wanted to see how she was doing but things quickly went bad. She insisted in going home so Dillon went to find a doctor to see how long it would be before she got her wish. She was told that the severity of her injuries would require extensive physiotherapy. Georgie turned on Dillon demanding to know why he hadn't come to see her. Dillon explained that he was doing just as she asked but she pointed out she had asked her parents to stay away and they still came. She topped it off by announcing she wanted Palmer to help her get better. Feeling like he could never win with her, Dillon broke things off.

On his angry flight from Georgie's room, Dillon ran start into Lulu. He quickly explained what had happened...that he had broke up with Georgie. Lulu wasn't going to leave her friend hurting like that. She embraced him and then took him back to the Spencer house. She couldn't help but point out how the two of them always seemed to get the short end of the stick prompting Dillon to quip that they had to make their own fun. Deciding to watch old movies and eat Chinese, the pair began to tease each other - until they noticed the awkwardness of the situation.
