You've been away for a while....
from our world here on the computer
and I have missed you greatly.
I'm looking forward to seeing,
"Hello, again...."
come across the screen.
Those words touch me deeply
and sweetly remind me
just how precious and wonderful
our friendship is.
I suppose it is hard for some people
to understand how a person
can miss someone
they have never had the privilege
of even shaking hands with,
or looking into their eyes as they say,
"Hello again...."
But over time I have come to realize,
that not being able to touch you
in the physical,
leaves me with being able to touch
even a greater part of you...
your spirit.
Not being near you
has never diminished the importance
you have in my life.
Knowing each other from the inside out,
allows us a unique peek
into the very heart of each other.
I 'know' you....
I can sense your moods
from just a few typed words.
There must be those in your life,
who can see your face, and hear your voice,
yet still do not comprehend your mood.
But across time and space,
I am here with an affection
and understanding reserved only for you,
anticipating those words.
"Hello, again..."
When heartache
or loneliness overshadow me,
when life whirls around,
and keeps me spinning out of control...
When the days demands drain all of me,
and I feel I can't go on....
There is no comfort
like a warm cup of coffee
and being able to catch up with you.
Even in the lull of conversation,
it is soothing to know you are there.
When life limits our time online,
there is no greater joy
than finding that special email,
that lets me know you are thinking of me
and I can almost hear you saying,
"Hello, again..."
I ... cannot speak for you,
but it is my deepest desire....
to add something to your life,
that no one else has before.
After all,..
you have added much to mine.
You told me once,
"I am richer for having known you."
Yet I feel, it is I who has been blessed.
You have given me so much.
You have shared your hopes, your dreams,
your joys and sorrows,
your triumphs and your regrets.
You have given me the priceless gift
of your friendship
and shared precious moments
of your time.
I gladly return those to you!
For I am wise enough to have learned
the true price of friendship
and the uncomparable value of time.
If my attention and affection
are worth anything at all....
I hope you have found some way
of drawing benefit from them,
and that when you say "Hello, again..."
it warms your very soul to hear in return,
"Hello, my Friend,"
