Crossing Lines
Title of Your Page
Jacqueline’s Junque
There are times in tender moments
Of total vulnerability
I allow someone to cross the line
That reaches deep inside of me.
I open up my heart to them
Exposing my weakest side
Putting away my inhibitions
And swallowing all false pride.
For hidden far behind these walls
Where no one is allowed
Lies a gentle caring spirit
I keep hidden from the crowd.
I struggle with a passion
When someone comes too near
It fills me with anxiety
An almost panic type of fear.
By giving them the secrets
Of what makes me strong and weak
They possess a special power
If it is my heart they seek.
For I alone must guard this place
Buried where no one can see
By letting someone come so close
They become a part of me.
I tend to love too deeply
Giving all someone will take
Even with the knowledge that
My heart they now can break.
So if I seem to hold far back
And not let you cross that line
Remember Im holding on to protect
This precious heart of mine.
For life has taught me lessons,
And I have learned from the past
Just how short forever can be
In a love that doesnt last.
