Another river at my feet
But I can't see it the other side
No bridges over crossing
It must be at highest tide

I wonder if it's very deep
The rapids flow so quickly by
In waves of water tossing
Here I go. Dear Lord, please be at my side

Suddenly I saw the Saviour standing there
He said He’d been beside me everywhere
All I had to do was say the word
He would have heard
He is always there
He is always there
He's with me everywhere

Another sun, another day
But I can't see the other side
No time machine for passing
Just one minute at a time

I wonder, but it's hard to say
If easy I'll get by
I need peace that’s everlasting
Here I go. Dear Lord, please be at my side

Beyond the blue horizon
Beyond the eastern sky
Wherever there’s a heaven
He is the life

The humble and the holy
Stepped in and out of time
To take His place in glory

The baby in the manger
Who made the sacrifice
No love was ever greater

I could be stranded on an island. He is there
Lost at sea or in the wild and He is there
Living free or bound in chains
In His presence I remain
I just call upon His Name
And He is there

He is there like a lion
He is there like a lamb
He is there providing power or peace
He’ll be there every tomorrow
As He was when time began
He is there.  He is there
He is there and He cares for me

And when I wander off alone, He is there
I always find my way back home and He is there
He is welcomed in my place
With a wonderful embrace
Then I bow before His face when He is there

Oh, what would I ever be without Him
A lonely soul without a hope
My life became complete the day I found Him 
And now I know everywhere I go

He is there like a lion

“HERO”

Once upon a time
There lived a man upon the earth
Whose greatest wish was granted
On the day his wife gave birth
When worries of his weakness
Caused the man to pause and pray
“How can I become his hero?”
He then heard his baby say,

“You don't have to be a hero
With an emblem on your chest
Always flying in the sky
And freeing damsels in distress.
If you want to be my hero,”
Said the child upon his knee,
“Simply love me as I am,
And then my hero you shall be.”

“Yesterday is gone
So never live within the past
Tomorrow isn't promised
Dad, today is all I ask.
If you prefer perfection,
Understand this from the start
You will be my perfect hero
If there's love within your heart.”

“You don't have to be a hero

You gathered up the dust and formed a body
With a breath You caused a living soul to be
Father, all the universe
Reflects the echo of Your Words
I can’t wait to see what You will do with me

There’s healing at the hem of Your garment
And a tender touch could cause the blind to see
Jesus, all You had to say
Was “Peace, be still” to calm the waves
I can’t wait to see what You will do with me

My heart gets hardened
My soul gets stained
It seems as though I fail You
Time and time again
But Lord I love You
I’m sure You see
And I’m laying down my life
At Your feet

For there’s comfort in the core of Your Spirit
There’s forgiveness in Your blood that set me free
You take a mustard seed of faith
And move a mountain far away
I can’t wait to see what You will do with me

So come and fill this empty vessel
