"LESSON PLAN"
by Jeff Leslie

Faith can move the mountains
But sometimes let them be
Then grant me, Lord, the gifts I need
To reach the highest peak

For I'd rather have the courage
And the strength it takes to climb
Than live with lessons left unlearned
For never having tried

Faith can walk on water
But sometimes let me swim
Then grant me, Lord, the gifts I need
To fight the waves within

For I'd rather have endurance
That it takes to tame the tide
Than live with lessons left unlearned
For never having tried

Faith can heal the deaf man
And cause the blind to see
Faith can make the lame to walk
But sometimes let us be

For if You could bear that brutal cross
To cleanse the sins of Man
Then I can wear for You this chair
And learn Your lessons planned

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
(Romans 8:35-37 NIV)

HOME - WORDS OF COMFORT

"LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE"
by Jeff Leslie (lyrics) and Dale King (music)
Performed by Jeff Leslie

Dale was my college roommate and fellow musician in another lifetime.
About 25 years after college graduation, with his family in one town and state and mine in another,
by God's grace we reconnected on the internet. He told me that he'd been writing songs over the years
and he sent me a cd full of really beautiful music.

I began emailing him lyrics and now and then he would put music to them.
After I sent him "Love and Joy and Peace", he put a tune to it and played it for me over the phone with his guitar.
I LOVED IT! I made my own arrangement and made this video for it.
I hope you enjoy it for God's glory.
