Up on stage you begin to sing
You’re so talented, you can do anything
I sit in the audience knowing it’s true
I know inward there’s more to you
Maybe you’re different deep inside
Maybe you’ve hurt before, maybe you’ve cried
Maybe you once went to a public school too
Maybe you were rejected and considered uncool
Maybe you’re not perfect like everyone says you are
Maybe you were different before you became a star
Maybe you had a childhood dream
Maybe you believed in the unseen
Maybe you had crushes and loved to flirt
Maybe you were a kid who played in the dirt
I sit at your concert, these thoughts in my mind
How can everyone be so blind?
Maybe you’re just like anyone we’ll see
Maybe you’re human, Just like me.
