by Auguste Rodin This beautiful, small, white marble statue by Rodin was done in 1898. It is known in English as The Hand of God, and as La Main de Dieu in French. This is another of his works which is housed at the Rodin Museum in Paris, and another example of a work which includes both the highly polished and the roughly hewn textures of the marble. You will find an additional photo of this sculpture, from a different angle, on the Boston College page, for which there is a link on the Rodin and Claudel thumbnails page. |
