Classic Results

Midwest Sportsman paid back over $97,000.00 in cash and prizes at their 2002 Classic -- this was an all time record for amateur tournament fishing across the country.

The Classic was held on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes in Kentucky on October 3 and 4. Out of the top 5 spots 3 of them were won by teams from Michigan. As expected, Indiana fishermen did very well with 17 fishermen out of the top 52 taking home a paycheck.

Winners of the two day event took home a beautiful 882 Nitro Bass Boat and $10,000 cash. First place was worth over $33,000.

Second place took home $10,000 cash.

Third place took home $5,000 cash.

Behind the top three places another 23 places were paid.

At our banquet one winner took home a $12,000 Tracker 175 Pro.

In addition prizes, tackle and other items totaling over $38,000 were given away, bringing the total payback in cash and prizes to the fishermen to just under $98,000.
