I gave the Irish sibling's father the name of Lawrence, for one reason. Patrick's oldest son was Lawrence Louis Mullen. His middle name was for his mother's father, Louis Davis. So, I am assuming his first name was for the sibling's father, Lawrence. I could be wrong with this assumption -- but, for now, I will call their father, Lawrence(?) Mullen.
John is mentioned in a book about Crawford County, Missouri, by J. I. Brewer, as to have came to America with Patrick, Dennis, Hannah and Lawrence...lived in Kansas and reared a family there. Took John 50 years to contact his family and tell them of his whereabouts. No proof of any of this.
3. William "Wild Bill" MULLEN-10
I was told, by my grandfather Patrick William Mullen, that his dad had had an uncle called "Wild Bill" -- killed cheating at cards, in St. Louis. I went to the library, here in Independence and found a death notice that read:
"William Mullen; died June 14, 1849, Keytesville.
Killed during a card game: Weekly Revelie, St. Louis City
and Co."
So, there is proof that he was real and one of the siblings from Ireland. Do not know his age nor whether he had any family or not.
Thomas is from some stories by his nephew, Paul E. Mullen. Paul wrote that his father, Lawrence, said Thomas would not leave Ireland and wasn't happy that the others could leave their homeland and not try to wait out the famine. [Have not found any proof to back it up.]
Bridget has been heard of, by alot of us. She came to Crawford County, Missouri, but did not like it there. "She went back to New York and was never heard from again" -- we've heard this statement a jillion times, I'm sure. They never knew if she married, returned to Ireland or died. It was like she had just disappeared.
This is a name I have heard of as being one of the siblings from Ireland. I have not yet found any proof of her being in America nor of her being one of the siblings from Ireland.
"Fenian"
