OBITUARY --
DENNIS P. MULLEN
Man born of woman is of a few days, his time on earth varied and if God sees fit, his earthly stay can be a long one, but in time as the scripture tells us, all men must return to their Creator.
Dennis Mullen was a man who enjoyed a long earthly life. He was the type of man who found great love in his heart for his wife, children and his many close friends. He was a man who in his lifetime saw great changes in the world, but one thing that did not change in Dennis' life was his faith in the Almighty and so on Wednesday, November 9, 1977, he gave up his earthly family and friends and went to sit beside his Maker in the Celestial body known as Heaven.
Dennis P. Mullen was born to the union of Dennis Patrick Mullen and Bridget Mullen Radigan at Leasburg, Missouri, on September 2, 1884. On November 26, 1909, Miss Lottie Purvine became the bride of Dennis at Cuba, Missouri. To this union eleven children were born.
Having been preceded in death by his loving wife, Lottie, and four children, Edna, Earnest, David and Edward, he leaves to mourn his passing from this life, his three daughters, Virginia Wallis of Leasburg, Mo., Geneva Hendrix of Creve Coeur, Mo., and Marie Nixon of Auxvasse, Mo., his four sons, Roy of Leasburg, Mo., Haskell of Creve Coeur, Mo., Earl of Kansas City, Kansas, and Rev. Oliver Mullen of Sullivan, Mo. He also leaves his daughters-in-law, his sons-in-law, twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, his other relatives and being a life long resident of Leasburg, he leaves a host of many, many friends.
Having made peace with his maker, he said farewell after having an earthly life of 93 years, 2 months and 7 days.
