OBITUARY --
Kermit L. Davis of Villa Ridge, died Thursday, September 1, 1983, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington. He was 56 years old.
Mr. Davis, son of the late Lemon and Nella Davis (nee Steen) was born December 21, 1926, in Illinois.
He received his education in Granite City, Illinois and grew to young manhood in Illinois.
Mr. Davis was employed by Union Electric Company as a Unit Control Operator.
He was married to Betty D. Purcell and after marriage the couple resided in Illinois and, during the past 11 years, at Villa Ridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Betty Davis; one son, Kevin Davis of Belleville, Ill; one daughter, Jeanine Bloomquist of Granite City, Ill; one sister, Shirley Tolan of Hillsboro; one daughter-in-law; one son-in-law, six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 3, 1983, at the Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington. Interment was in St. Francis Borgia Church Cemetery.
