DONIPHAN -- Eunice Carter, 93, of Granite City, Ill., died Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Carter was born April 3, 1909, in Ripley County. She had resided in Clay County, Ark., until 1943 and had been a resident of St. Louis until approximately one month ago.
On Jan. 11, 1929, she married Henry E. Carter in Randolph County, Ark. He preceded her in death in July 2001.
Survivors include three children, Lee Clyburn of Doniphan, Billie Layton of Imperial and Sandra Carter of Granite City; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. (Submitted by Peggy Brooks Cannady)
