DONIPHAN – Nola L. Kitterman, 90, of Grandin, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at the Current River Nursing Home in Doniphan.
Mrs. Kitterman was born Jan 9, 1910, in Ripley County. She was a librarian at Grandin and a member of the Grandin Methodist Church.
On Aug. 31, 1927, she married Ben Kitterman in Grandin. He preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death were one son, Bob Kitterman; a daughter-in-law, Bertha Kitterman; and one granddaughter, Roberta Kitterman; all of Grandin.
Surviving are three daughters, Lucille Kempfer of Percy Ill, Joyce Smelser of Doniphan, Eulah Emmons of El Paso, Texas; two sisters, Retha McNew and Veda Mae Murray both of Grandin; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dolan Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. (Submitted by Peggy Brooks Cannady)
