Now, you just need to do a few things. For starters, you're going to have to put the mood theme up on your server. If it's an Angelfire server (like this one) or a Geocities or a Tripod server, it's not going to work because you can't direct link to images on those servers. Unless you have a paid account. Or something.

Now you're ready for my detailed instructions (read: stolen from Mad Poetess from her Spike Moods theme).

Keep in mind that I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing yet, so there may be bugs to work out, in which case I'll change what I have.

1. Log in to your livejournal account, then go to http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/.

2. In the text box there, type (or paste): moodtheme_create "Robin's BuffyVerse Moods" "BuffyVerse moods for every occasion."

3. Click "Execute"

4. Note down the number that it gives you as a Theme ID -- this is important.

5. Download and open this file: spikemoods.txt. Use Word, Wordpad or some other program that will let you do a "Replace All." (and yes, I stole that file directly from Mad Poetess. Why? Because I'm both evil AND lazy.)

6. Replace (replace all) "yourmoodthemeIDnumber" with the actual number that you were given as a Theme ID. (Told you it was important!)

7. Replace (replace all) "yourserveranddirectory" with the actual server and directory into which you uploaded the image files.

8. Save that happy little bastard in case your computer crashes. Mad Poetess said from experience. Then select all, and copy the entire contents.

9. Go back to http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/.

10. This time, in the command box, paste the entire contents of the modified spikemoods.txt file.

11. Click "Execute"

12. You should get a response page that lists out each image and tells you that it was set correctly.

13. Finally, go to http://www.livejournal.com/modify.bml. Scroll down to the box where you can choose a mood icon set, and at the very bottom, below the fixed LJ moods, you should now find Robin's BuffyVerse Moods. Choose that, click Save Changes, and you have a new BuffyVerse mood set!
