Eddy's Thoughts
Celebrities too thin?2-13-2004

One of my main petpeeves is how the media tries, and often succeeds, to convince us that extremely thin women are attractive. Celebrities always have narrow hips and pencil thin thighs. Weight loss companies tell us that not being obese is not enough. Women must also be as skinny as the supermodels who almost look like boys.

As far as physical traits go, I strongly prefer very wide hips, a big butt, thick thighs, and a small waist. A woman with broad hips and plump curvy thighs is more appealing to me than the celebrities. Just as importantly, a woman who starves herself to conform to the demands of the capitalist media has the sort of personality that I wouldn't be interested. Conformity of this sort is another thing that annoys me.

Women with big butts or wide hips shouldn't starve themselves. While it is wise to avoid obesity, the figure that the celebrities have is a poor goal created by the media. There's no good reason to try to conform to them. Don't let the media tell you how to look.

Star Wars Books3-3-2004

I'm a big fan of Star Wars. The movies are my favorite movies. I love the games. I also read the books. There are a lot of Star Wars books, at least one hundred.

I just finished The Unifying Force, the last book in the New Jedi Order series. It was good. Luceno's last New Jedi Order book wasn't very good. I actually don't remember much of it other than the part about Hapes.
