Mother Nature...

has a way of making us see how small and insignificant the human race is.  These photos are of the aftermath of a tornado which passed within five miles of my home. After seeing the destruction, I feel I was one of the lucky ones.  Marquand, Poplar Bluff, and Ellsmore, Missouri were just a few of the communities that were damaged on that stormy night.  These photos are from the Marquand area.

It is amazing to see a single tree in a forest broken in half or stripped of its bark by the awesome power of a tornado and yet,

nearby trees and homes remain unscathed.

But amidst the destruction beauty abounds
