Shay Driving Lights
I found in my garage an old set of lights, these are "glass". The wire shield was broken off and they still have a 6volt lamp in them. Oh well guess I will try to bring them back to life.
Cleaned up the body mounts was a real surprise how well they fit.
OK now the hard part finding the wire cable, found a shielded cable that electricians use, they gave me 25 feet, I pulled the stiff copper wire out and replaced it with stranded automobile wire. The cable was a very snug fit onto the lamps; I used an ample supply of super glue as a safety measure.
After ample drying time I was able to work the flex cable into a very neat installation. The light housing is very firmly attached and allows for easy adjustment. With the lens into place they are showing potential. Install two new bulbs and checked good.
Every thing all button up and ready to go, sometimes it works to use what you got.
I used a switch mounted on the dash, If the headlights fail you will see well enough to get to some place safe.
