3. 1 EA 5/16 square stock 12" stock.

B. Installation.

1. Remove Handles, two screws on outside of door, has a gasket between door handle and body.

2. The handle has a small roll pin that holds the handle and the 5/16 rod. Drive this pin out with a small punch, save the pin.

3. Remove the existing 5/16 square stock. (Original is 1 3/4 long

4. Cut a new 5/16 square stock 2 1/4 long

5. Install the new square stock into the outside handle, drill a hole in the square stock and install the roll pin removed in step 2.

6. Create a hole in the door panel, I used a small Phillips tip screwdriver pushing from the outside of the door. Once you have a starter hole enlarge just enough for the square stock to slide through.

7. The square stock should be protruding through the door panel +/- 3/8

8. Remove the handle and drill a hole in the end of the square stock. I use a 10x32 tap, the screws came with the door handles from Snyders.

9. Install the handle through the door, Install the escutcheon washer, Install the inside handle using the 10x32 screw to test, remove handle.

10. Remove screws from door panel (panel does not have to total be removed.)

11. Slide panel away from door lock handle, the handle will need to be straighten.

12. Handle has been twisted into a vertical and must be straightened to horizontal. Be careful bending the handle as you could break the lock handle.

13. The 4 tabs on the escutcheon will need to be aligned so as to give movement to the door lock.

13. Cut a small slit at each tab.

14. Push the tabs through the door panel; the oval washer goes on the back side of the door.

15. Bend the tab over the oval.

16. Install door panel, Install door handle.
