Summer 2005 -
Grad School Adventures
Oh Mount Holyoke
we pay thee tuition....
On May 25th, 2003, I became an alumna of
Mount Holyoke College
.
Number of days until graduation:
Commencement took place on May 25, 2003.

Some interesting and bizzare facts about my
college, starting with the letter's "MHC" (or Mount Holyoke College):
MHC *is* an all women's college. No, that
aspect of MHC did *not* drive me crazy.
MHC was founded in 1837 by Mary Lyon.
We're old geisers.
MHC is mentioned in Dirty Dancing: I
wonder if Baby *did* go to Mount Holyoke in the fall...
MHC has a gym called "Kendall". Our new
science center is called "Kendade". This has been causing
confusing among the
MHC masses *all year*.
MHC was featured not once, but *twice* on the
Simpsons. Unfortunately, no one *has* come here to party with
us. Fortunately, most of us don't care.
MHC is part of the 5 College consortium, which
includes (among other schools), Hampshire. If you don't already
know, think Jerrett's
Room.
MHC sends 1/3 of it's Junior class abroad every
year.
MHC has interesting
wildlife
on campus.
One of the biggest moments each year in the life of
the Mount Holyoke student is dorm choosing.
What MHC dorm would you live in
?
Of course, when you're just getting
accepted into Mount Holyoke, you don't have to participate in this
yearly drama-full tradition.
In case you're interested, during my three
years here,
I majored in geology
and minored in history. Yes, I'm a rock geek. However, I
maintain that I'm blameless in the whole thing, because my whole
conversion to rock geekdom was completely against my will. ;)
I scared all my friends this year when I
decided to
write a senior honors thesis. Me? I was just out to have
some
fun. Maybe learn something. :)
And, of course, get a free trip to Colorado.
I am a
fighter
